You are not living in Barcelona! The majority of Oregon players could take or leave soccer. How can you teach the 'right way' when 85% of players (may be more) never watch the game or work on it themselves? This is why ADF, GPS and personal trainers are in the game. They sell this bullsh** and parents take the bait. It's silly!! Everyone take a step back and look where we are. We are in a country that does not understand development. We are in a state that is one of the worst in a country that does not get it. Just get the kids to enjoy it for what it is. A fantastic sport that can teach some amazing life lessons.

There will also be those kids that are possibly very talented or driven or both that will be desirous of better technical training and individual training, that only some of the smaller niche clubs can offer purely from a coaching standpoint. Not all kids are satisfied with mediocraty.

The wheels will come off at ADF. They have a core group of parents that hate losing. Plus the 9v9 team has 18 on the roster and have 4 that never play. Now coaches', you may need to run more functional practice sessions instead of getting all your players performing scissors ;-)

This spoken from the parent who's boy didn't make the squad. Roster is large which will position them well next year at 11v11. Plenty of games and play time to go around and coach is dynamite.
