This is why people aren't upset about boys DA subsidizing like they are the girls DA.
That's pure nonsense. Peregrine is paying the expenses of both DA's. Whether mandated or not. The naming rights of Providence Park, sponsorship could be paying for the DA's. OYSA services paid to Peregrine are simply just income to the business, internally it doesn't flow to the DA programs, it's simply impossible in this business model with so many revenue streams to attempt to make this case.

They covered their asses and you are left with crazy theories of how they spend their business related incomes.

High school sports are a waste of time and distracting. It's important to keep kids busy as possible within the program to keep them on track and focused on the golden ring.

Missing school and long weekends away from homework gets the kids to stop thinking about college, which is an even bigger waste.

High school sports is fun and there are some memories, but if you are hyper focused on becoming the very best soccer play you can be then it's not good.

Is sad they force kids to give up high school. Like it or not it's fun to play with your school and in front of hundred. Gda parents don't travel so you play for 10 people. To each their own.

Bad thinking. You need to get your priorities in order.

National team players that play on the Thorns get paid by national team and new contract is pretty good paying.

How many Oregon raised players are on the USWNT? What do we get, maybe one every 40 or 50 years?

                            Girls DA FAQs

"participating in the Academy, a player will have substantially more hours on the training field focused on refining technique and tactical understanding. With a minimum of four training sessions per week, there is significant opportunity to work on technique and receive instruction"

But we already know that Timbers are doing everything they can to cut costs - which means cutting the program down to size - 1 training per week, 15-passenger vans for travel, coaches that no one else would hire, sharing kits between teams. You get the idea...

US Soccer says required minimum 4 trainings per week. Thorns say 2-3. Who do you believe?
