WOW!! some serious panties in a bundle in here. I have a red X and I am not using a MAC. Is that okay?

Good Luck to FC Portland in the Manchester United Cup I would make a prediction but it might sound as if I were watching from the parking lot.

Last I checked, IE has a red "X" too.
Also, if you actually read the post by Shu's Daddy, you would notice it stated that he wouldn't waste his time watching your kid practice, not "If you consider posting to these forums a waste of time as you indicated..."
Plain and simple, if you're not going to register and become part of this board and post positively about the teams, go somewhere else.

Telling the FC parent off for sharing their concern about what, for lack of a better word, is third party surveillance of an opposing team's players, strategies, etc. is fascistic and self-serving. Shu's Daddy: "Knock it off and don't flatter yourself so much", you are the one who is behaving absurdly. If you find yourselves tempted to simply deride my post as that of a "pest", think a little about what I've already said. These message boards are an open forum where the people involved in Oregon's soccer scene post their thoughts. Who are you to try and seize authority and act as censor? Also, Sodium Fan, ever think that those reading on these boards might not be using a mac?

If you want to be part of this message board, then register to be one. I really dislike that people can hide behind an "unregister" screen name and do nothing but stir the pot. What are you hiding from?

Open message boards are for opinions. You started slinging the mud first and I just can't resist a good bitchfest. If you take my previous post as absurdly, then perhaps you should look in the mirror. You suggested we are all hiding in the parking lot at Liberty High School watching your team. If I were to hide in any parking lot to watch a team, it would be Southside Ireland's team I would watch.

You also poke fun at all of us when you said, "It seems like you all have plenty of other quite interesting topics to discuss (yawn) in relation to your own teams." Just what positive post have you brought to this board? You've posted a couple of times now and you have yet to say anything good. If you're simply here to troll and stir the pot, then I am pretty sure everyone feels the way I do... either go to Oregonlive.com or just go away! If you want to add something positive to this board, then please stick around. Otherwise I"m outta here and will stick with the Washington site which has a moderator to keep an eye on the negative nancy's.

What's wrong with you people? My writing is so dissimilar from the FC parent's that it's embarassing (for you) to have imagined us as the same poster. Internet Explorer? You are less computer savvy than I'd previously thought! If you have so much of an issue with someone (unregistered) spoiling your fun and becoming as defenseless as you have here, maybe you should talk to one of the message board's administrators. My guess is he'll tell you the same thing I did in the previous post: you people are pro-censorship, anti-free speech. Where's the internet democracy people?

Maybe if everyone would quit hiding behind the "Unregistered" tag and register, we wouldn't have these problems?

This has gotten to be just plain silly.

Even the Washington Premier Forum has threads that get pretty heated. So a little disagreement won't ruin this forum. Whether or not a poster is registered means little; you can just create another login and maintain a different persona; none of us use our real names so what's the difference?. The bit about the red 'X' is just whack, and even if you are posting anonymously, try to sound intelligent when you quote someone.

Now, if we want some fireworks, then lets talk some smack. Like - hey SD, my daughter's team is going to kick your daughters team off the field at such and such tournament. Or maybe let's debate the finer details of uniform colors, those all black and white unis just make me want to hurl and the best thing about the red ones is it hides the blood. Personally I get a kick out of playing style debates or arguments about formations, I like the 1-2-3-2-2 how about you... The forum is a lot more interesting if there is a little fire in the posts.

Oops, I posted anonymously, am I from FC?, or maybe THUSC, no, I'm from LOSC -- no, those people are just irritating ;-), I know, I'm from RVSC. Who knows, who cares?

Where's the darned emoticon with the big grin and the tongue sticking out?

You're right, it has gotten ridiculous. Why don't you just post elsewhere. You obviously have a lot of time on your hands so you shouldn't have a problem finding another board.

Sodium is generally less reactive than potassium and more reactive than lithium

Now that's just plain unfriendly atomic number 11. There sure does seem to be a lot of thin skin around here.

I figured out why you are so insistent on users being registered; you can't tell who wrote what. Now that makes sense since you obviously think that the last post that you replied to is the same person as the aforementioned "FC parent" or "Mr. Red X" or other poster. Actually I am the author of the "silly" post (# 144079).
                  Just call me Anon.

I've jumped on board this here little red wagon, and I say make it interesting. If it gets too boring with all the polite little feel good posts, I'm just gonna have to stir things up. Heck, maybe I'll do that anyway.

SF ... just ignore this person. They're simply here to stir the pot, which they have accomplished and will continue to accomplish so long as we continue to respond to their posts. It's really too bad this website doesn't have an ignore button like other sites have.

Shu (Su) was the god of dry air, wind and the atmosphere.

Come on Papa Shu. Don't be so durned uptight.

                            Ya'll need to loosen up.

OK, on topic, this here's a soccer forum after all.

There are a bunch of U14 parents in here. I assume a passel or two are gonna play high school soccer from the earlier posts in the thread. So how many are gonna bother with the training and conditioning that the high schools offer during the summer? High school play isn't the same caliber as high level and especially premier level club play, so is there anything to learn or is it a waste of your DS's or DD's time and just plain interferes with the summer tournament schedule? When you get down to it, most high school soccer is just about school spirit and getting your name in the Oregonian (or at least Oregon Live). I mean, most of the top U14 teams could beat the snot outta the average high school soccer team.

Way to go Anon, glad to see someone else here can see the preposterousness of this whole situation. I'm tired of watching you all fumble about with these most recent postings though. Sodium Fan, Shu's Daddy and company, why don't you all just start you're own blog where you can discuss the same trivialities you clutter this forum with? obsessivesoccerdads.************? I believe its not already taken.
Even if you aren't guilty of sitting in the liberty parking lot during FC practices equipped with binoculars and telephoto lenses, how did you all figure out where a bunch of 13-14 year old girls that you are not formally affiliated with in any way are going to high school? That was the original question that the FC parent was trying to ask was it not? When you really think about it, it is sort of as that original poster said "kind of creepy".

                                Well, well, well....

Things sure get interesting on the board when I go out of town for a couple days...

My thanks, to SD & SF for trying to keep some sanity around here and watching my back in absentia. As I posted the offending bit of info re: where FC Marine kids will attend HS, I'll pick it up from here...

Dear "Unregistered" Cyber-Arse who accuses me of hanging around Liberty HS...

I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you ARE in fact, an FCP parent. That being said, you must not be a parent of a Marine or Aqua player. If you were, you would know exactly who I am, and that I know about the players' HS plans because my DD was an FCP teammate of theirs for FOUR YEARS before moving to SSC Ireland. As I posted, I know all but two of the current Marine players and (for the most part) where they plan to attend HS. Not much cloak & dagger intelligence needed for that. If you ARE an Aqua/Marine parent (which I doubt, because they exhibit far more class than yourself) than you are deliberately attempting to create trouble. Get a life. My only motive for posting said information was to complete the list of top area U-14 teams in response to SD's posted question re: HS plans. That YOU read anything more into it than that, makes you much "creepier" than I. Nuff said.
