Is it better to play for a strong talented team with zero development and Philosophy only about winning? Or for a weak team with good coach who will teach with his feet.

Not sure what you meant by playing 1987 soccer? Outdated philosophy? DH sounds like a decent option or is playing for DW a better option?

And there is a reason these coaches have been relegated to Salmon Creek.

FC Portland is doing this to gain a competitive advantage. They will be able to offer roster spots before other teams even have try outs. That is unfair and in violation of OYSA rules.

The club implements a strict curriculum that my kids have seen the benefits of. I don't think anyone will see the clubs true changes for another 3-5 years. There is no club in the area that runs a true academy like W-T-F-C. Most of your clubs have coaches that go on their own teaching differently with no guest playing between teams or any collaboration between coaches. For example at FCSC or Pacific, as a parent you are paying for a player card and that is it, nothing else. If all you want is a player card then those clubs are for you.

WashT may be a bit better than they were right after the merger with WSA (really when they got taken over by WSA), but they are a far cry from being a top developmental club.
1) Truly misinformed or
2) purposely spewing misinformation
If it's #1: get informed on what is really happening.
If it's #2: just stop.
