Seniors have other activities and sometimes have already made their college commitments so decide not to continue to play-while others want to think of this time as keeping in shape before going off to college.
Their clubs will be fined for these for forfeits.Comment

Those ages are more difficult - standardized testing, other sports/activities, lots going on....but the teams shouldn't have registered unless they were fully confident the roster would stay mostly intact.
