If a team forfeits any games during the season due to ineligible players (not on the roster, suspended, too old, etc.) they are disqualified from the State Cup (and regionals and nationals, should they make it that far).
Failure to show for a match might also result in a tourney DQ, IIRC. Other causes of forfeiture (such as abandoning a match due to insufficient players or the coach getting sent off without an assistant to take over) I don't think result in being disqualified.
Crazy. Has this ever happened at State Cup before? 3 teams already. Is OYSA being more stringent this year?
High school team ages are tough.
You have to register the team early. Then the league play is on, players might drop out or lose interest.Travel is always an excuse at this stage.
Seniors have other activities and sometimes have already made their college commitments so decide not to continue to play-while others want to think of this time as keeping in shape before going off to college.

Their clubs will be fined for these for forfeits.
Those ages are more difficult - standardized testing, other sports/activities, lots going on....but the teams shouldn't have registered unless they were fully confident the roster would stay mostly intact. Hs seniors are especially notorious as they're pretty much mentally checked out by spring
