There are no TA players going to college to play soccer. Unless you count PCC.

A Cal Berkley commit is pretty impressive.

        You guys are all morons...

A large quantity of ECNL players were developed at the TA Clubs, and their predecessor clubs before ECNL came along. They chose to further their playing at the ECNL level when presented with the opportunity. They and probably 99% of the players playing at that level could care less what the club affiliation is. They just wanted to play ECNL. They were developed prior to joining ECNL- or Thorns- or DA teams by clubs, big and small, in Oregon and SW Wa...

ECNL provides exposure. Bug Ball thru U-13/14 provides development.

They learned to play bootball thugball at TA clubs. Then moved to FC or CU to re-learn how to play soccer at a high level. That's why a lot of them don't make it to college commit level until U18 - they got a late start thanks to their time spent at a TA club.

The CU 2017s have 15 commits and we would like to personally thank you for developing our players to a level that allowed them to obtain a commitment to play soccer in college. I am especially thankful because you must have spent more quality time on our player's development. My advice to the TA clubs is to apply your development skills to those girls that reside within your current club system so they too will have the same opportunity

Problem is that the girls are fleeing the TA clubs so fast they have almost no one left to "develop".

You forgot to mention, "A more skilled TA kid moved to FC or CU and took a spot from a less skilled FC or CU kid"....

all of the top clubs develop kids the same way. The truly elite in this area-- and there are only a few-- have god given talent that has way more to do with there offers than anything else.

why don't you look at the verbals for the 2018's and tell me where those players with the best offers got their starts?

Funny that you mention Bootball from TA and site the CU17's. That CU17/Onyx group is a team that has built its entire limited success on Thug Ball. They Boot it up front and hope one of their big-footed forwards can hit it from distance. Try connecting a few passes for once.

That and they also built their accolades by playing in State, Regional, and Nat'l tournaments where they knew no quality teams played in.

A bunch of thugs that played bootball did so to win multiple State titles (I think 5), but not much competition at the state level so not much to brag about. This year they won their 4 regional title (NWCL) and that included playing against their ECNL counterparts to the north. 1 Mustang title I thought was impressive, but apparently you don't think playing against teams like Mustang or DeAnza are of high quality. 2 NPL Championships, but the TA crowd bashed that NPL wasn't any good until one of the clubs back east recently announced they were moving to the DA - NPL titles are watered down for Onyx but they aren't for the clubs that are now moving to the DA

TA parent here and I am really PO'd that my club took the time and energy to develop some other players. They kept telling me that they were great at development and my daughter was great and some school would find my daughter at ODP. They kept telling me that playing in Tacoma Showcase was a great event and since they were doing a good job at developing my daughter she would be found.

I am not happy that all of their development energy went into the CU players

Always time for the Onyx parents to chime in. They have nothing better to do. Worst parents in Oregon, ever.

Thug ball is right. Starting with Tubby who was the biggest flopper ever. Will fit right in at PSU. The Big Sky, the conference of Thug Ball. The two Onyx players going there will fit right in.

No one gets cut from ECNL. They have 30 players on their rosters and that's only after running around the rec fields and rounding up players. The past ECNL tryouts had NO cuts. None at all.
