A large quantity of ECNL players were developed at the TA Clubs, and their predecessor clubs before ECNL came along. They chose to further their playing at the ECNL level when presented with the opportunity. They and probably 99% of the players playing at that level could care less what the club affiliation is. They just wanted to play ECNL. They were developed prior to joining ECNL- or Thorns- or DA teams by clubs, big and small, in Oregon and SW Wa...
ECNL provides exposure. Bug Ball thru U-13/14 provides development.

My advice to the TA clubs is to apply your development skills to those girls that reside within your current club system so they too will have the same opportunity

all of the top clubs develop kids the same way. The truly elite in this area-- and there are only a few-- have god given talent that has way more to do with there offers than anything else.
why don't you look at the verbals for the 2018's and tell me where those players with the best offers got their starts?

That and they also built their accolades by playing in State, Regional, and Nat'l tournaments where they knew no quality teams played in.
