This is what I'm saying. Why are you mad? I never said anything about where anyone should play. Some of these agenda pushing comments are flat out false and deserve to be called out. I only pointed out who is playing where. Good players will be found and the best will be so regardless of what youth league they played in. Rose Lavelle and Morgan Brian are considered two of the best newbies. Neither were ECNL players. However, Mallory Pugh is considered one of the best as well, and she grew up in an ECNL club.

Some players have different ideas on what kind of an environment fits them best and realize not everybody wants to play on a team with personalities like yours.

I'll also point out that the first 2 Americans taken in the MLS draft (#1 & #3).... Neither played in the development academy. Gasp! And Jordan Morris played with Eastside until his U18 year. He only played one year in the academy.

There is more then one way as long as the players are getting what fits them best.

Since its inception in 2009, the ECNL has established a league where 80 to 90 percent of U.S. youth national team player pool competes,

Making an ECNL team doesn't mean you are "elite" mom and dad. It means that the team needed money and to fill roster spots. All you players past the top 5, you are considered second tier. Sorry to break the bad news to you.

Touché. At least we don't let the mommies and daddies coach our ECNL teams like the rest of you "teir 1" clubs

So the ECNL marketing machine spat out a random number and you just take it for truth? Look at the link above. 8 of the 23 players are not ECNL. So only 65% of that camp was made up of ECNL players. Just pointing out facts. The youngest WNT player in the WWC last summer...not an ECNL player. Those are facts. Play in ECNL if you want. There are some good players in ECNL and in sometimes those are truly the best players, sometimes not.

What news are you "breaking", Einstein? I think most parents can watch a game and know that there are different tiers of players on their DD's team, be it an ecnl or oysa team. You don't think oysa teams take players to round out a roster? The argument at hand is if the bottom tiers of ecnl are better than the top of oysa.

What? Written by a person with clear self interest in promoting in the ECNL. Such an over the top ECNL is perfect (really - that is how this league is described) love fest that it can't even pretend to be an objective. Does not acknowledge or explore a single ECNL issue.

Yeah, because in ECNL they NEVER play boot ball and you never see girls get heated and go in hard on another girl. Must be why there are no cards given out in ECNL. Oh wait, they keep track of cards and by golly, they do give them out. Gee, how can you be wrong on so many levels? Apparently many.

Encl is very disappointing for how expensive it is.

Did you even read the post that it was referring to? The OP was trying to make the point that being invited to a national camp doesn't make you a national player. The post you referenced was taking that point further and pointing out that making an ECNL team doesn't make you an elite player. All of which are true statements. Not sure why you are so slow and dimwitted, but let's hope that your kid has a better chance than you at graduating high school. Remember, it's better to not speak and have everyone think you are dumb, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

ECNL is not expensive, but travel is. If you play OYSA and travel to Showcase events it too cost money

Do OYSA teams make money off of team travel like the ECNL teams do? Do OYSA teams go to every and any tournament like Tom's teams do to allow the coach to have a paid vacation to where ever the coach has family?
