Portland seems like a very good fit for him academically, size etc. so if it's a good soccer program for him win/win.

For the poster with a polite response - thank you
It is a soccer school with a deep history. We all hope it's headed in the right direction now. Hopefully your son will be a part of that resurgence.

      You're welcome.

My daughter, BTW, actually started off at USC but transferred back to Portland. She liked the big school, big city, but also likes the small school, smaller city-she heads back to California to pursue her Masters. I think your son would be very comfortable at UP. They take good care of parents as well.

I just moved into the area from SoCal. Have a national team level 13 year old girl. Which club do you recommend? We don't know anyone yet in the area and it's all new. Looking for the best.

Eastside Timbers is the only choice.

Great thanks. We'll head over and check them out. Maybe the coach will put together a kick around. This forum is a life saver.

And the looney ECNL CU parent chimes in with three worthless posts. Back to drinking for the rest of the night and abusing the wife. You go CU. Follow the ways of the Dark Sith Tom Atencio.

Not very transparent, troll. Try NOPO Rec club for your "national team level" 13 year old.

If you're talking national level rugby, drinking, swearing, and fixing flat tires on the General Lee.

DD did an ID camp at Portland. DD said the Head Coach was an ass. Asst was nice. Did some research and discovered he's the Portland DOC and takes his own. Surprise. Seems fishy....he's certainly selling his club and then piecing them up for his college team. I believe his tenure will be up soon based on the article and how the team is playing. Cheers.

Eastside Timbers is your best bet.

So let's explore that mind set a little more. If UofP Womens soccer was a investment, would you be buying or selling right now.

Well there's no soccer club in Oregon that can develop her skills. Try another sport (or state)

His recent record and inability to get the top recruits will be his demise. He recruits form Portland FC and that won't do it.
