It is pretty simple if a lot of TA girls are playing in college and getter offers to do so then shut the ECNL crowd up by posting the list. Even Westside and Eastside won't even post on their own website. The shiny star at TA is Westside Copa so where are all those girls going

Actually the old 97 Copa team. And yes, Westside does put a lot of girls into college. It drives the ECNL parents crazy because the WS girls are getting better offers and don't have to spend $10K a year to fund Tom on his vacations.

If a club (many clubs do because it is a big marketing tool) or ECNL posts it unfortunately then the genie is out of the bottle. Parents often are excited to "share the news" not realizing they may regret it later. This forum is very poorly moderated

I didn't think the '97 Copa team existed anymore. Westside isn't shy about posting the names and where there girls are going to college but last time they posted was for class of 2014

I like it when some idiot on the outside thinks we are paying for Tom's vacation. He is a soccer coach, they are business trips. When he travels it is with the team and returns with the team.

Even if they are traveling to odd tournaments. Why do you think he always coaches the U14 teams? Because those teams do some of the ECNL events, but Tom can take them to non ECNL events and tournaments. So, in the fall, when ECNL has no events, Tom is running down to California where he has relatives under the guise of going to a valuable tournament. I've had discussion with countless Thusc parents over the years about this. It takes the parents a couple years to figure it out, but eventually they make the connections. He will drop this year's U14 team next year so he can coach the U14 team next year and repeat the process.

You are definitely on the outside. Tom has his quirks, but does not visit family during all of our trips. He likes to coach the younger ages to find the next Neon, Sodium, or Onyx

Believe it or not some coaches prefer to coach certain age groups. Besides, if you truly believe this is happening then either 1) speak with the club directly to voice your concerns 2) suck it up 3) leave.

what I have appreciated is that he takes teams to tough tournaments - Surf, Mustang, Players, Arizona Presidents tourney. Who gives a rip if he has a relative in Sacramento area and he visits them during Mustang. I travel frequently for business and I always try and intertwine some personal and business if possible. Oh my we went to Surf Cup and Tom ran into a relative or a friend. Who cares?
