Get rid of Erick Lyslo, get a parent or two to manage the team instead, and I think it's a very good program.

So the Thorns Academy is ODP at the older ages? Makes more sense then simply playing against other timber alliance teams and hoping for a tourney.

They really don't do any ODP stuff. Just play in OYSA second division and attend a couple of second rate tournaments. Nothing to see here.

There might have been a small amount of concern last year but not anymore. It's pretty clear that the Timbers have given up on the idea that Thorns Academy is for elite players.

Stating facts is not feeling threatened and after looking at the rosters, it's going to be another long year for the Thorns academy at both age groups.

I believe the girls who did it last year actually had a good experience. If you are involved with ECNL, as you seem to be, I would venture that you haven't seen a single Thorns game or know the players. It certainly wasn't a "long year." Much better than sitting on the bench on ECNL teams that are getting hammered.

True, it wasn't a "long" year. But only because the Timbers didn't deliver on any of their promises of Regionals, Surf Cup, high level Showcases, etc. The "year" only lasted from January to May.

Should we go through and state facts about every team in Oregon and start threads about them? Why don't you do that? Apparently you don't, you only feel the Thorns are worthy of your "fact finding" (and your facts are not correct, but that's ok as long as you think they are, right?). Someone associated with the Thorns must have broken one off in you since there is this obsession with posting about them.
