You can spread the cost over monthly installments.

My daughter doesn't play thorns but we probably should have considered it. It looks like they charge $4395 for everything: coaching, uniform, travel. I don't know which club teams ya'all play on, but that's similar to what we pay for clubs when we add it all up.

Club fees plus tourney registration: $1700
      Uniform: $300
Seattle trips (5x): $300 per trip for players only: $1500
      California for player only: $725
      Vegas for player only: $750
      Phoenix for player only: $750

      Total: $5725

      Travel is expensive.

Thorns is $4515, but from what I can see that includes 3 trips to Seattle, 1 to Canada, 1 to Vegas, 1 to ODP / Phoenix?, 1 to Colorado.

Can someone who did this weigh in? Are these costs set or will they increase?

They won't go to half of those events. Only did 3 last year.

I assume that they don't charge you if you don't go, right? So, it could be much cheaper?

What they've quoted is the min cost for the min package. If they do the whole list it will be more than ECNL.

Not true. But spread some more misinformation and see if you can get people to bash kids

Nice misinformation of your own. You don't have a clue how much it will cost because you have no history with your DD playing on a top team and travelling to play top teams. Just FYI, Crash at the Border is not a "travel" tourney.

So funny that an annonymous poster claims that some other annonymous poster doesn't have a clue about something. No one knows anything about anyone else here so making a claim about someone having a lack of information is really funny.

I can pretty safely claim that you know even less than the other two.

And you know the least of all. We all know that.

We did the Thorns last year and had a good experience. These prices are set and last year they did not increase. We weren't charged when the trip to Canada was cancelled (there weren't enough players available to attend).

Get rid of Erick Lyslo, get a parent or two to manage the team instead, and I think it's a very good program.

Glad to hear your experience was good. There probably are not near as many posters as seem to be represented by this board. Many of the inflammatory post are written by a troll.
