As a business person I would salary someone at this type of wage if they showed the type of achievement and performance that warranted this type of pay. Westside over the last 10 years has around 60 to 75 OYSA State Cup Champions, Regional titles, National Cup teams, MLS players, US National team youth players & 100's of college players and they have the lowest paid DOC in the region?

While BSC and PCU have DOC's with and handful of state cup titles over the last 10 years and get paid much, much more.

    That isn't a market reaction, it's a visceral reaction.

There is no incentive to perform at a better level than your local competition, as long as you can keep cashing the checks, without any hassle.

Market of Choice for those happy not to achieve anything on the field, Oregon local club market has been very kind to mediocrity and status quo...

Thanks to the wonderful parents who pay online to make is so!

Would you mind telling me the highest paid salaries at PCU?

The following looks fulltime (some clubs looked like part time - FC, Eastside, NEU had lower numbers for years I could fine). Before folks go crazy with this stuff, some kudos to the clubs for actually filing this stuff like they have, defer to their boards as to whether these numbers are right:

        November 2014 PCU:
        Jeff Enquist (CEO) $186,703
Tim Copeland (Asst. Head Coach) $116,887
Nelson Larsen (Dir. Youth Programs) $104,099

        April 2015 BSC:
        Scot Thompson (Exec Dir) $103,350

        November 2013 Westside:
        Cony Constin $82,660
        John Bain $86,383

FC was just around 80K, Eastside combined was just over 80. Most are a year or 2 old.

Interesting that LO, PCU, BSC all seem to pay on the high-end, without necessarily winning a bunch . . . affluent neighborhoods willing to pay I guess.

FC seems to be the outlier in that they were not paying Webber a ton.

Now that we've had this walk down transparency lane, wouldn't it be nice to know how much Timbers are bringing in from OYSA leagues and state cups?

                500 x 3 (fall, winter, spring) = 1500 x 900 per team = 1.35 million for leagues?

About the same for state and president's cup?

                No idea on ODP.

Do these numbers look reasonable to some of the financial folks posting here?

You'll never get any transparency from the Timbers. There in youth soccer solely because it's a big money grab for them.

I think that is generally true and it is very unfortunate that OYSA does not gather this info from the Timbers and share with member clubs, since they are a 501(c)(3) and have sanctioned these leagues/tournaments (hell they gave them an monopoly with respect to USYSA leagues) . . .

Just wondering if there is a way to reasonably estimate what their haul is from youth soccer.

                              Holy schmoly

I work for one of these guys. When I get paid it's a universe less than that. In fact I work for wages that are poverty level wages.
