Math and logic have never been your strong suit. Beating a bad Utah and bad Boise team by 4-0 masks the fact that you got killed by NorCal teams by 4-0. You end up with a zero GD but that's only because you beat up on two teams that stink. Boise and Utah are masking the reality.

and you can lose a game 1-0 or 2-1 and be completely dominated and outclassed. Scores mean very little as opposed to what happens on the field

Therefor you have no valid opinion or stake in the matter really. You weren't there. You don't know so you make false statements anonymously on talking soccer because you have an axe to grind.

You're taking about one team as if they represent all the teams to prove your ignorant point because you have an axe to grind. You weren't there. You don't know.

You just proved your ignorance with this post. You have very strong opinions for someone who's not involved and no direct experience.

Aganin performances on the field by these watered down Oregon local girls teams are the real test. Guess what the test results haven't changed in 30 years. Oregon wasn't relevant with one local superteam holding the flag of our competitive best, now 3 groups are trying to carry flag for Oregon and they can't even lift a napkin.

How many girls return is really the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You say Proof...we all opt to say what this is, certifiable.

Ecnl gives Oregon top Oregon players a chance to be seen by more coaches and to see how they stack up individually vs much better competition than the few sad same ol' same ol' they see in Opl or OYSA. Yes, it's a little more than a good travel team but not by much and the added benefits outweigh the costs. Yes, it would be MUCH better to have only one top team of consolidated talent but, as you point out, they didn't do much better anyway. There are a ton of colleges out there of varying levels. If a girl really wants to play in college, especially any college outside Oregon, than Ecnl is the best shot we have right now. Defenders especially get a lot of action and if you can show individually well vs better teams than very good things can come of it.

If the two ECNL teams and the academy merged into one team, then we'd be talking.

I will also point out how these anti ECNL posts stop during normal practic hours. Interesting isn't it.....

I've noticed that too. Almost all posts stop during typical practice times. It's almost as if the only people posting here are associated with youth soccer somehow. It ls worth investigating the link. If we narrow it down to people with kids in soccer that could be very intriguing.

Angry ECNL Poster was busy tonight trying to save the ECNL flag. Well, FCP's flag appears to be fine. CU's flag on the other hand, appears to be in serious trouble. Along with Angry ECNL Poster's team and daughter. He thinks that the more he posts on here, the more he saves that sinking ship. Too bad that the results are out there for all to see and judge. And tryouts will tell the story. And the story will be short and tragic.

A long winded way to say the ECNL isn't a magic wand. We still have the same number of quality players we did 20 years ago. And we still will have the same number of girls playing division 1 we did 20 years ago.

Keep trying..... It's not working. It's pretty clear you're a coach. Most likely from WST. You have an axe to grind and will say anything. Have fun sitting in the sidelines watching girls soccer get better in Oregon.

Are you OK? Instead of addressing the merits or shortcomings of a different approach/philosphy about Oregon's attempt to compete in the ECNL. You come off ass defensive and childish. Why does somone else's viewpoint cause you such emotional angst?
