With all of the talk about how the talent needs to consolidate to create competitive teams, and now that tryouts are upcoming, it's good to take a look at which club is better positioned to succeed with the movement of players. Players will always prefer to go with winners.
U14 - FCP
U15 - probably a draw as neither team is really tearing it up. If CU changes coaches then they have a chance, if they keep FM, then this team will not develop.
U16 - FCP is clearly doing better. Could be time for a coaching change at CU.
U17 - FCP, and it's not even close.
U18 - FCP, and it's even a wider gap than at U17, which is pretty wide.
Don't know what's coming in at U14 for either club next year. Better coaching selections, especially by CU, is critical. Actually, across the board CU probably needs to take a hard look at their coaches. Tom isn't doing much with his younger team, FM shouldn't be coaching an ECNL team, they could do worse than Kibbwe, but they could do much better too.
Based upon year 1, FCP is clearly the dominant program and should benefit the most come tryouts.
