I am sure we will see your annual BS as tryouts approach as well. Right on queue. It's how you operate.
No one is saying ECNL is the only way. No one is saying every game in the ECNL is the best games these teams will ever play. No one is saying any of this It's only you raging lunatics with something to lose exaggerating and making up stupid excuses for your posts. I find it amazing how much time you fools spend attacking the ECNL and those participating.

You need lots of the mediocre players coming in to ensure you can field teams because you know that ECNL really only is valuable to the top players, and there aren't more than maybe 20 per age group. That leaves you 18-25 players short of what you need for two teams per age group. So we expect more of the ECNL propoganda articles to be posted here that will give hope to the naive parents who think that their unathletic dd will go D1 just because they have an ECNL patch on their uniform.

RICHMOND, Va. (February 4, 2015) – The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) today announced the College Impact of the league’s 2015 graduating class, revealing that 90 percent of the ECNL’s 1,357 graduating seniors will go on to play college soccer in the fall of this year. In total, 1,203 ECNL athletes will go on to play collegiately, with 920 alone in NCAA Division 1 programs.
There must be a lot of mediocre players headed off to college next year.
Keep posting your lies and stupidity for everyone to laugh at. You're too easy to prove wrong...... and stop before you even start yammering about how ECNL doesn't make top players. Top players who want to push themselves choose the ECNL. It consolidates the talent and provides an opportunity for these players to improve.

The value of ECNL nationally isn't of question. The value of it in Portland is very much of question. But you will just drink up anything Tom puts out there in the cup and happily pay him thousands for it. Give me your email address so that I can send you some Nigerian scams since you seem to trust anything people tell you.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThat's not true. Everybody who tried out for ECNL made it. That's the only way one can possibly explain some of the bad players that are on the teams. There are some woefully bad players on some teams. Unfortunately, these players all have the dream of playing D1.

Portland teams are doing fine. They are playing better competition than they would locally. They train more and are getting out of it what they put into it:
I'm sure some fool will say Portland is playing mediocre teams while you admit there is value in the competition. Som fool will claim these events are all a sham and waste of time since uncharacteristic weather impacted a national event with over 200 college coaches attending. **** happens. It is too bad but that's life. Your lack of logic and pathetic excuses are soooo thinly veiled. You would have attacked if a single club had gotten in. It's the only way you can compete.
