Here is the reality...... You're probably coaching at or running a TA club. I am convinced that most of these attacks on the ECNL, clubs and coaches are from a couple people involved with clubs like WST and probably EST who stand to lose the most. You're on the outside looking in. You can't even compete so you stoop to your usual tactics which is what we all see on this forum all day every day.

I am sure we will see your annual BS as tryouts approach as well. Right on queue. It's how you operate.

No one is saying ECNL is the only way. No one is saying every game in the ECNL is the best games these teams will ever play. No one is saying any of this It's only you raging lunatics with something to lose exaggerating and making up stupid excuses for your posts. You need lots of the mediocre players coming in to ensure you can field teams because you know that ECNL really only is valuable to the top players, and there aren't more than maybe 20 per age group. That leaves you 18-25 players short of what you need for two teams per age group. So we expect more of the ECNL propoganda articles to be posted here that will give hope to the naive parents who think that their unathletic dd will go D1 just because they have an ECNL patch on their uniform.

CU and FC don't need to make any claims about how valuable ECNL is. Facts can do that for them.

(February 4, 2015) – The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) today announced the College Impact of the league’s 2015 graduating class, revealing that 90 percent of the ECNL’s 1,357 graduating seniors will go on to play college soccer in the fall of this year. In total, 1,203 ECNL athletes will go on to play collegiately, with 920 alone in NCAA Division 1 programs.

That's not true. Everybody who tried out for ECNL made it. That's the only way one can possibly explain some of the bad players that are on the teams. There are some woefully bad players on some teams. Unfortunately, these players all have the dream of playing D1.

Portland teams are doing fine. They are playing better competition than they would locally. They train more and are getting out of it what they put into it:
