How would you know ? Your DD cant make either team, so we can all see why your view is so jaded.

A $4,000 trip to Disney is a quality experience as well. If your dd isn't a premier athlete, then you shouldn't hold your breath for scholarships, if that is what you are after. If not, then not sure why one would pay so much just for a quality experience. A nice family vacation or two or three would seem so much better.

It's not class warfare. We have the means and decided to go for it. Why is that anyone's business I will never know!

If I were to take a guess, I would say for the same reason that you felt compelled to come into this thread and post something. As an observation it is no more your business how much the Thorns Academy costs or who they play than it is the Thorns Academy player's parents how much ECNL costs and the level of play. Just a way to waste time.

I think a lot of the comments on both sides of the fence are from the same bored person trying to rile people up.

It sure seems like it at times.

I'll be glad when we start having a fuller schedule so we can trash talk about something other than money.

I agree. Just try to ignore them.

Cost is a very real concern for us. We aren't poor but we try to make smart financial choices. I think next year is the first year we can try out and we will be very interested to see how it works out.
