Oregon ECNL might have a chance given how they schedule

I know that you have a hard time with big words but when someone lies they are a LIAR. When someone makes stuff up to support their perspective it's call prevarication and those that employ this dishonest tactic are prevaricators!

Why you feel the need to constantly claim that any ECNL parent or coach says anything remotely comparable to these boasts only shows your desperation to discredit the program locally.

Hold on Bucky...you are saying it is a lie to say anyone advocating ECNL ever said the ECNL teams will go 18 deep and that they will get strong competition in practice? Those statements don't strike me as worthy of dragging out your definition of prevarication. In fact I have a hard time imagining ECNL supporters not making such claims.

Why did FC Portland even plan on going to Phoenix. Seems like very poor leadership and planning to go to a tournament knowing some players would still be in the HS playoffs.

Now I realize this might be the pinnacle of your dd's soccer experience and your team would be talking about it for years, but really it's just another day for an ECNL team.

I just feel sorry for the people who drank the Kool Aid and didn't do any due diligence and then felt special when their mediocre dd made the team. A lot of people don't have lots of money, but thought that this was worthwhile because they didn't look into it and bought the sales pitch.

And that is somehow worse than the person who doesn't participate but spends crazy amounts of time on an anonymous blog cutting down teenagers. I suppose that is one way of looking at it.

Dont forget that if are on a current ECNL team you probably arent playing soccer..... Remember only 18 can travel (6 not being allowed to come) and those 18 have to share time with eachother as well as discovery players...

Also think about the fact that the teams are pretty awful and already have spent time chasing teams around the field.

Now I realize that you are really exciting about the realization your kid is finally on a team that travels because judging from how much they are trying to get ANYONE to come and pay for a spot on these ECNL teams your kid finally made a team.

So you are paying 10k+ for your kid to travel and sit the bench or chase players around....while thinking your kids getting better.....

Just another day for your kids ECNL team....

But you are right about one thing...There is no great planning going to AZ because from the sounds of it, it is a shiz show and you are the one holding the shovel!

You keep paying that money, its REALLY paying off.

Not the best point but its not hard to see it came from a gullible sheep who doesnt think things though.

Using your example, people are going to eat a spoonful of garbage because of all talk about it.......

But by all means, keep writing because the typical ECNL parent who believes anything they hear and follows blindly at least filters them all to clubs who like that sort of thing......

I am a little confused by your comments. I have no idea what your point is other than you despise ECNL and very much desire to ridicule its participants. Even so, for the sake of conversation, what do you believe the best path for girls soccer is in the PDX area? Be specific, club play, tournament play etc.. I am interested to hear a valid point.
