That feeling of years past was sure not there. It was sad to see but no matter what anyone claims, we like to win & if they stop winning (like this year) then the crowds will disperse.
The financial value in entertainment was greater (at UofP) and Clive stirred people up in a good way about what was happening there. The Timbers were a side show to the Beavers baseball program.
Clive left us and his program (legacy) flattened. The Timbers were purchased, the Beavers abolished and $1m's were poured into the MLS brand. All attention was directed there. Entertainment dollars shifted, and so did players.
When youve got great fan support, players want to play there. Great players especially.

Do you understand the purpose of meesage boards?

I suspect GS will be given the same latitude for the same reasons.

So you can be happy with him and the status of the program or you can hope for a change and the hope to get back to making deep runs in the playoffs.
