Look at the record. FCP has beaten the teams ranked 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and will probably play #2 in December at NWCL finals. That seems to add up to #1 regardless of what algorithm you're using...

It will be interesting to see how things progress in the next couple of years. Will one ECNL team emerge at the expense of the other and be the place to go? Or will they both continue to split the higher end talent? My guess is one will emerge before too long and will start to compete pretty well and the other will struggle and be a de facto B team.

Right now FCP at the U14 age is clearly the better team... This is primarily due to a legit star play (#29 I think). FCP also has more size and speed as well at this age. With a few more players, they will be a very good ECNL team. CU will have a tough year at this age.
