It was the ugliest game I've ever seen

I mean, before you assign blame and scorn, make sure you have the facts. I'm not a Sunset parent, although I do know the coach and I like him. But if he did know about it, or even encouraged it, then I would agree that it was a punk move. But before claiming that, make sure of the facts. And while you are taking to a public board to decry a move by another team, are you sure Jesuit has never done anything like this? Are they squeeky clean?
The coach sets the tone. Seen this team play. They are dirty and borderline dangerous, typical high school soccer gone wrong. Something is not right, no doubt.

At least one of his sons, maybe more, went to school at Jesuit...

What I see is that the arrogance of Jesuit has no bounds. Please put the Jesuit stickers on your cars so we know an arsehole is behind the wheel and we can adjust accordingly. It certainly justifies why the driver took two parking spaces rather than one in the lot at Costco.

Apparently it is true that Jesuit students and parents think their s#%t doesn't stink. Thanks for reminding us how much better you think you are than everyone else.

Well, we have a winner! Another "my kid wouldn't go to Jesuit even if he could get in" parent. Thanks for the stereotypical response.

Why help you out? Can't you identify a driver by his/her car? Doesn't sound like your kid is going to be fending off the hoards of academic scholarship offers.

You sure were more worried about athletics than academics when you bought your kid into Jesuit. If academics were more important then you would have bought her way into Catlin. .

True. And judging by the responses here we couldn't be happier. It's true that the place is full of kids with a(s)shole parents. And this entire thing started by some Jesuit parent complaint about how other teams look at them. I'm not surprised sunset wore them, I'm more surprised that every opponent doesn't wear them.

My kids don't go the Jesuit but even they know that the dregs of local high schools go to Jesuit. I mean really, has Jesuit produced someone recently like Colt Lyerla?

Had nothing to do with a Jesuit parent complaining how they were viewed by others, it was started by a punk classless move by Sunset girls. You can tell the character of the kids at that school by listening to their student body. Ref had to stop the game because of the inappropriate language coming from students. Students should have been removed from the facility

                                At least there were Refs

So how many 6A girls games only had two refs Thursday? For the second consecutive game we only had two and they consistently screwed the pooch. One was particularly bad not calling a drag down from behind in the box and missing a 4 yard off sides call that resulted in a goal.

For all those who want to make excuses for the current state of Oregon soccer refereeing I say ENOUGH! It's not fair to our kids to put in the hard work in practice and games to see the refs CHANGE the outcome and or miss calls that affect scoring.

The lame ole excuse that parents are to blame for scaring off refs is BS. They quitter's tell you that because the MONEY is not worth their time and yes the hassle. 70% of the exiting ref population is doing it for the love of the game and the balance are looking for some cash and when that cash need is met or they get a better paying job off they go. If you want to expand the pool PAY more it's just that simple.

Now they do get paid more for HS than club but you can't develop a bench without club soccer developing more and better refs so the PROBLEM lays squarely at the feet of the Clubs and OYSA and OPL.

Next time you see one of the honcho's of either let them know that they have to get serious about fixing this problem because this is the WORST I've seen it in 10 years on the side lines.
