For all those who want to make excuses for the current state of Oregon soccer refereeing I say ENOUGH! It's not fair to our kids to put in the hard work in practice and games to see the refs CHANGE the outcome and or miss calls that affect scoring.

The lame ole excuse that parents are to blame for scaring off refs is BS. They quitter's tell you that because the MONEY is not worth their time and yes the hassle. 70% of the exiting ref population is doing it for the love of the game and the balance are looking for some cash and when that cash need is met or they get a better paying job off they go. If you want to expand the pool PAY more it's just that simple.

Now they do get paid more for HS than club but you can't develop a bench without club soccer developing more and better refs so the PROBLEM lays squarely at the feet of the Clubs and OYSA and OPL.

Next time you see one of the honcho's of either let them know that they have to get serious about fixing this problem because this is the WORST I've seen it in 10 years on the side lines.
You do know that its not a ref supply problem, but a decision by the school not to pay for three refs, don't you? All Jesuit games have three refs because they pay for three refs. Has nothing to do with club soccer or any organization.

Same can be said by a number of public high schools, so what's your point?

Students should have been removed from the facility
But the parent came on here whining about the coach of sunset. And now look at some of the pious responses from Jesuit parents on here. Listen, if your going to carry yourself like you think you're better than everyone then don't be surprised if people show their displeasure. Don't act like pompous jerks and other drivers won't flip you off.

Went there. It was nothing special. But I guess that was before they let girls in.

It has come a long way since it was a punishment for poor performance in public school.

It's obvious that you can't hold a coherent thought for a two moments or even one, tell us about your short bus experiences.

Sorry it IS a supply problem. No 6A school does not have the budget for 3 for every varsity game. The refs said before the game that there were 105 games that night and they simply didn't have enough qualified & willing refs.

Why does it seem that at Tualatin the best players who are grades 11,12 never get mentioned in the local newspaper ?, Hell it started last year. Guess it pays to be close friends with the news guy right. Oh thats right "showcase" your daughter I get it !!!!!

Are you complaining that when they talk about Tualatin they don't talk about the best players? If so, talk to your coach, he's the one that talks to them. And you can email the writer and ask why he talks about certain girls.

If you are saying that Tualatin doesn't get mentioned enough vs. other teams, well I guess that's a good life lesson.
