So, let me understand. Because OPL now has ECNL, the OPL girls program is full of B teams?

If we assume this to be fact, can we also assume that OYSA boys leagues are all B teams because of the Timbers Academy teams?

The boys only have two academy teams. ECNL is two teams at all age groups, not really a good comparison.

Not all ages groups. 14 and up.

Isn't ECNL just going to let the smaller clubs shine a little more? It will simply make the league more competitive.

We're not talking about little girl soccer.

                Against the B teams, yes.

So Thusc / L.O. (CU) and FCP should give up there ECNL acceptances for the sake of making the OPL stronger? Looking back over the last few years of state cup results (after and prior) to the split, these clubs pretty much dominated the league. Having them go ECNL will simple bring some much needed parity to the league, whether is stays separated or not.

I don't think anyone said they shouldn't accept their invite to ENCL. They were just simply stating that for top competition in local leagues it hurts the OPL's top end, which is why it might make sense for clubs who are undecided which league to go to (if they are a top end fringe club, maybe BSC for example) it might be better for their competition level to play in OYSA instead.

ECNL is no different than the DA. All boy teams are B teams to the DA. ECNL is basically the same. They also play in different leagues.

Or they should stay and be top dogs in OPL go to NWCL and NPL championship! Verses playing WST TS who think they are good, but really aren't.

The ECNL teams can't even compete well in NWCL, how well do you think that the OPL B teams are going to do? The ECNL teams were getting beating by GDs of 3 and 4, now it will 5-6.

Ah, I get it now... "downgraded" OPL is equal to OYSA. Makes sense.

You are assuming, you know what happens when one assumes? They haven't played a match yet and you are posting imaginary scores that haven't happened. But at least they will get a shot at it. Versus what? Rejoining with the OYSA league and getting to travel to bend and Medford? Sounds great.

You misread. The ECNL teams, meaning Thusc and CO and FC, did poorly in NWCL over the past few years. If they couldn't compete, how will the B teams compete. No you get it?
