The team in question was great for two reasons. Good talent and good coaching. The coaching is GONE and so is the talent for at least one year so why would a talented girl player want to go to a BOYS club without a proven girl coach?

Indeed. The talent remains and much to the dismay of the ECNL teams who were praying that they would jump ship and join them. The Thorns team will be so much better than either ECNL team at this age group.

You must not be paying attention, which is understandable given the lies from the ECNL crowd. The Academy is U17 this year and U18 next year. It will also have a U16 team next year. So it's for two years for the current U17 team.

I see West Side Copa g99 lost to FCP G99, does that happen alot?

I thought that all of the A teams in OPL were now B & C teams. Wonder what that makes OYSA/TA A teams.

some troll trying to stir the pot....our team should be good this weekend, we have a solid group of ECNL players guest playing....just leave us alone....we are the same team as last year

Well guest playing ECNL players shouldn't make much of a difference because I thought they were all one footed slow players. I thought that OPL A teams were now going to be B & C teams. I don't know about you but I'd be embarrassed getting beat by some crappy OPL b team.

So they have a 16/17 this year and you are saying that team is going to age forward and be a 17/18 next year and they are going to add a 15/16 next year and possibly a 13/14?

Why not have a 17/18 this year?

There is no plan for the Academy beyond this year. Even the press release stated a U15 team might happen in a couple of years. Might...
