Because of the $8,000 to $10,000 per year price tag they are excluding a lot of talent in exchange for rich kids.

How about a truce?
I won't degrade your program if you don't degrade my program?
We could do this all day.

Oh, but these same schmucks who helped create the Oregon mess, they won't screw up Oregon's affiliation with ECNL will they? They won't do something stupid to jeapordize playing in that league, will they? They will ONLY look out for the best for the players, the coaches, the families and for girls youth soccer in Oregon. After all, that's what they did in the past, right? Now, I am ready for the response that knock OYSA and/or the Timbers, which will further make my point since it's going to be difficult to defend these jackwads. They helped ruin Oregon youth soccer, but by no means will they do the same thing to any new league they are in. Noooooooooooo.
Gavin W. and John B. were part of the initial OPL break from OYSA. You should educate yourself take a look at the initial OPL documents.
Gavin W. could care less about OYSA prior to OYSA being a cash stream for the Timbers. GW will go with which ever side that pays the most.

So, the point remains, you are going to bet that FM, TA and the FCP crowd aren't going to mess this ECNL thing up just like they messed up Oregon soccer? ECNL should have mandated that anyone who had anything to do with running OPL should have to step down and new people appointed or no invite. Why did it take TA so long to get accepted? Trust me, ECNL didn't want him involved, but they wanted a spot in Portland. The desire to have a part of the Portland market outweighed their desire to not have him be a part of it.

So they can screw that up to? Your allegiances to these guys is pretty strong, have they got you under a spell? Promised you to be manager if you didn't complain about them or question them? Why isn't everyone in ECNL asking themselves this question? Do you really trust these guys to not screw it up? They did before. Your kid wrecks your old car that you give him to drive. So what do you do, you buy him a new car and expect him to be different. Brilliant. Johnny Manziel is promising to grow up, yet since he made that promise he's been involved in two more incidents. People don't change.

Get new leadership and it stands a chance. I feel like I'm arguing with a five year old. Actually, the maturity levels are similar.
Yes I don't think it will be around very long.
