With the best female players going to the ECNL clubs and the best male players playing USSDA Academy, the Timbers have decided to rebrand their league the Super-Medicore Timbers League (SMTL). It will feature an (arguably) higher level of play (relative to recreational soccer) for a reasonable fee (relative to recreational soccer). In order to save on costs, no Timbers SMTL team will be allowed to travel out of state. The ban on out of state travel will have the additional benefit of improving development by building player confidence in the strength of their abilities. All players in the SMTL are guaranteed an MLS patch for their jersey, and one, large foam hand with the Timbers logo on it. Finally, since every team playing in this league are all part of the same alliance, every player in the SMTL will receive league and state cup championship trophies. The league motto will be: "We are all champions!"

By the looks of the spelling, punctuation, the resonant sound in the typing, it's a father (probably from Vantucky) that had his son cut from a WT team. Yep, can't join up with OPL on ideological reasons and Can't travel. Traveling costs too much and makes look like an ECNL team. Can't have that.Comment
