OYSA teams moving back to OPL

Please don't reunify the OPL and OYSA! My DK has scars from playing ET and we don't want 3 hours driving one way for some other crappy match.

Only on one hand we have the Timbers, a local pro sports team who we all should rally behind and in return, it gives us: an incredible venue to watch a sport we love, it gives back to the community, it brings teams like bayern Munich to our city, it brought us the Thorns, it dumps money back in to youth soccer, it has massive sponsorships that dumps money back into youth soccer, and more. As it grows and succeeds, our benefits get higher and higher.

And on the other side, you have 8 guys making bank off of local families, and a soccer league with no upside. Hmm.... Really tough choice.

The Timbers are using the OYSA as a shell company. The Timbers are taking money OUT of youth soccer to subsidize their DA program which is also designed for them to profit from down the road.

The published by laws dumbass. The OPL is a legal non profit company. They have governing by laws they must follow. They are breaking the law if they don't. Pursue it if you don't think they are.

I am sure you can find the OPLs tax filings the same way people find other non profit club financials.

The FACTS are:
- The OPL is non profit
- There are public by laws published on the OPLs website
- DOCs and clubs do not profit from the OPL
- the OPL is mutual benefit non profit which means it exists for member clubs and not the greater community

Oregon Premier League is not listed on this site, nor have they been since they started A BUSINESS a few years ago.

OYSA yes, LOSC yes, FC Portland yes, SSC yes, Westside TImbers yes, PCU yes, Bridlemile yes, THUSC yes, WUSC yes, Eastside yes..every non profit 501c3 soccer club in Oregonis listed. Sadly, the Oregon Premier League is not a 501c3 Soccer org./club.
