OYSA teams moving back to OPL

I just heard from a reliable source that all of the competitive teams at OYSA are moving back to OPL. They will keep Timbers Alliance but they will not be getting paid $60,000.00 a year.

Why not have OPL run the fall league and OYSA run the spring league? That way all teams are together, everyone qualifies for whichever state cup(s) they want to enter, and all are happy.

OPL is a for profit entity, with profits going to the founding 8 clubs. Why would we want a for profit organization with zero transparency running our leagues?

You have the Timbers running your league now. Same difference.

Perpetuating lies in an anonymous forum with no consequences. You are a liar. This has been proven over and over.

The money goes through OYSA. You can see where every dollar is spent. Look at the published OYSA budgets pre OPL and post, that tells you how much money OPL is banking every year. Where does it go?

                  No?

How much does OPL take in each year? Where does it go?

Non profits don't operate at a loss. Use your head.

Do the Timbers share where every dollar they receive/spend on youth soccer goes? They are the people running the league, not OYSA. OYSA is just additional unnecessary overhead. The leagues ran just fine without them for several years and they add nothing to the equation now.

OYSA is basically a shell company for the Timbers. Who knows where the money is really going.

I don't really care too much where by kid plays, but I will say that at the u11 level the fields are much nicer in OPL. I like being at covered high school stadiums instead of the crappy grass fields at middle schools with OYSA.

Our u11 oysa girls team didn't play on any grass all except for the trip to bend this spring season. Our fields were all nice turf football fields.

Please don't reunify the OPL and OYSA! My DK has scars from playing ET and we don't want 3 hours driving one way for some other crappy match.
