Pretty naive if you think Tom is not doing the same thing. LO coaches are pretty lazy so I doubt they are doing any thing to build up the teams.

CU did the right thing by only taking 15 players with plans to improve.

It was the TA conspiring against ECNL that kept all the good players away and left them with 6 good ones and 9 decent ones and a bunch of leftovers. Oh wait, no it wasn't. Gee maybe the Tom mystique isn't as strong as the Tom supporters think it is. Waiting to see is more players isn't the right thing to do, it's the only thing to they can do.

Why wouldn't you? If you want to challenge top notch talent from ECNL then you would want the best team you can put together. That means trying to attract the best from the entire area. Pretty naive to think otherwise. As it is already, people are whining that the selected players aren't the best. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Quality attracts quality. FC Portland lacks the quality so they need to take other means to recruit.

Is 1000% really better than just 100%? You have a flair for dramatics. ECNL is a whole new ball game. Clubs, like most things in life, have to evolve with the times or risk being stagnant.

More like stuffing their rosters full of anyone gullible enough to pay. They are adding B team players to their ECNL team and A teams. They are not attracting quality and continue their decline to mediocrity.
