Hahahahahahha. You need my kid more than she needs ecnl.

Coming from someone who actually can't separate the different between brain washing you seem to have a good dose of and actual realities of what a player needs.

It's ok though, you need this just to even scratch the surface of feeling good about yourself.

      Bold baseless statement.

Actually everyone that has a top player needs to re-evaluate their situation regardless of team / club / league. The landscape and opportunities have changed.
Those that are blinded by club / team loyalty will be disappointed to learn that their top players are moving on. If you are not putting your player first - doing what's best for them - then you deserve what the clubs are force feeding you.
The only reason you should concern yourself with OPL vs OYSA is that the quality of these leagues are going to take a hit. If you have a top player they will stagnate (in the OPL or OYSA). The ECNL and Academy will pull 90% of the best players so what's left is average.
If your player is average then you are in a good spot. If you have a top level player for the area you better OPEN YOUR EYES!

I'm pretty sure girls soccer will be fine at the OYSA clubs. Now at the OPL that's another story. Once the two ECNL teams cherry pick the best talent off the few remaining good OPL teams then what's going to be left?

It is funny how these people campaign so much. The truth is, they do need your kid. They need your money and they need someone to make their kid look better. I have an older that is going to a D1 school on a scholarship. No it's not UCLA but the college coach who went to ecnl events also went to 6 other tournaments to find the best players and had 3 assistants going to others.

It's all a big wave of trying to get people feeling like their is not another way which is complete garbage and preying on the idiots who believe without critical thinking.

They already stated that the entire clubs will be paying for the ecnl costs. So if you are a boy or a non ecnl player, you are paying more for a weak crazy parent team who probably aren't better than your kid to begin with.

They said they are going to have 24 players on the roster...another reason why its a joke.

Yet they seem to think people are going to stick around to play and pay when the 24 will be bottom of the barrel minus 4-5 kids who don't leave.

I hope that everyone knows that other than club dues, the main cost of ecnl will be associated with travel expenses. The main difference between ecnl and other leagues is simply that 90 % of the top girl athletes play within the ecnl league. Yes you can go to show case tournaments ect. However the single most viable point is often missed by detractors of ecnl, simply the level of competition cannot be matched in any other league.

So are you saying that if your dd does not travel it will not cost $8000.00 or more.

Hmmm. I guess you probably get "I'm Elite" tshirts which will be cool until you get destroyed by the real elite teams and pay a lot for the privilege.
Why do you insist on posting easily debunked LIES about the cost of ECNL? What is your motivation?

There are enough parents here in Oregon that write the checks to verify what both WPFC and WA Crossfire tell you the REAL costs are. The upper limit is WPFC at $7,400.

No one disputes that if you want to travel it will cost more just as it does NOW.

First not one associated with either club has said anything about non-ecnl player supporting the ECNL teams. As if those parents would stand for any meaningful cost shifting. GMFB.

Second not one of the ECNL teams are going to have 24 players paying full fee regardless of what they have on their website. It is likely that there will be 18 rostered players on some teams with 2 discovery players. Parents are not going to fork over full fee for their kid to be on a 18+ roster. This is the ECNL not OYSA or OPL and even TA and FM have things to learn!

Correct, for example let's assume your daughter is # 20 on the roster and she is not asked to travel for a portion of the league games and maybe only travels for 2 ecnl tournaments. The cost to your family would actually be less than playing for an average club team that travels to showcase tournaments. The one major difference being that your daughter will get more practice time ( 4 days a week )and with better exposure when she does travel to ecnl tournaments) Not to mention practicing with very committed players.

No set ECNL policies on cost structure

First the PLAYER cost will NOT be $8,000. Second each club will have their own policies on cost in relationship to participation. ECNL teams are limited to 18 rostered players per game. It is true that some have 18 field players and two goalies but those teams typically have 2 discovery players who are not full fee but per tournament fees typically about $5-600.

unfortunately, my dd is on Onyx and our coach told that most of our players should expect to pay the full price. it is difficult to be good and expensive.
