That is the story that was told to the parents and those that they are "recruiting". That isn't the real story. When it happened the person I know on their board said they denied allowing him to coach the same age group if he left (as is their rights with the rules in place) and when he realized he wasn't going to get their permission then they had the "vote" and he spun it to the parents that it was better to stay than to go.

Then play Premier. What was stopping them. Sounds fishy. You do not need to go to Salmon Creek to play Premier. If the whole team wanted to play Premier then qualify for it.
      Salmon Creek has to qualify.

They were fine with him leaving.

Pacific is only a select club. They don't have any premier teams.

It is their niche. They like to have a small club that caters to the mid to low end player. It is much cheaper to play for them than to play on a low end Timbers team.

it's actually the same cost......the only time it would be different is if you have a top tier player, then the cost is more at Wash Timbers.

Most Pacific teams are Tier 3 or 4 teams....cost is $350/year at Timbers

For the record the price of playing tier 4 at Timbers and playing for pacific is basically the same cost.

Some of the pacific teams are better than that some of htem are on par with that level. Just pointing that out.

Just because you go to Salmon Creek does not make you Premier. That is just a title. You still have to qualify and win the league to advance.

I am guessing he will take over some B team and his daughter will get to play on the A team. the rest will realize they are paying twice as much to be on the SC B team.

Volunteer coach who I am sure is doing his best in a small club and I am sure enjoys the time with his daughter.

                Who is the loser here?
Not sure at all that the aforementioned Pacific FC coach would listen to anybody. Screaming and yelling matches with his daughter during games were real enjoyable for all to see. Control freaks needn't coach youth soccer voluntarily or for compensation.

It is clear that you know nothing and have some sort of personal ax to grind. We have been around this team a lot and have never once seen what you are describing.

I haven't been around this team and tend to trust your opinion rather than the scathing and personal attacks about this coach that the other person is writing.

My question, again, to this poster is whether or not he/she has actually spoken to him face-to-face or just enjoys bashing him on this forum. It's gutless and really telling about them.

What is clear is you might be KP's mom or you have been duped for years about what constitutes effective coaching and developing players.

Let me bottom line this for you that are slow:

Tina has wanted TP on her team as a full time player for more than a year. She couldn't convince Dad Coach to let her come over so she would occasionally guest her when the tournament or time presented itself. With this move, everyone will win.

                        1. Club gets a whole new team and money.
                        2. Dad Coach gets to keep his kid and her friends on the same team and test his metal against better competition on a more regular basis.
                        3. Tina gets a FCSC card and guest player for her 99 team year round now with now strings attached.

                        Easy Scheezy.

Big deal. One team of 15? girls moves to a new club up in Vantucky and people care? I don't understand this board.

I have to agree. If the team wants to move and the club wants to take them, why does this matter?

Really should rename the club. Call it The Tina Ellertson SC. The entire website is pretty much dedicated to her and her two teams.
