Agree this is almost as crazy as living in Portland and playing on a club in Seattle. O wait a minute.

Yeah crazy playing on a club who's teams are usually always a top seed in any play around the northwest. Must be bad coaches and club politics that do this.

usually always? Is that like sometimes never? You know if a parent wants to spend the money to register at two clubs, and the time to attend the practices, and the games, etc…it is entirely up to them. hopefully those aren't the same parents who complain about traveling to Bend...

Sometimes never? Depends on boy's or girl's and age. Just giving a opinion as to others getting a opportunity to play with a better club I'm not being negative as others seem to be about other's !

ok, so players on two teams actually happens more than one would think.

here are a few examples that I personally experienced as a coach.

            1. U-8 girl played on club pdp team and in a local league in forest grove,

            2. HS Age players on club and mulit-cultural teams.

            3. Hood River and Woodburn players - on Elite OPL teams and playing for HR or Woodburn

            4. U-14's playing club and local league hosted in east pdx.

            5. Freshman who are u-14 eligible, playing both HS and Club

It does happen, not every competitive team charges 1k plus and runs their programs year around either.

I agree with what others have said there is no way you could coordinate a fraud on the scale of 30-40 people knowing and not have word leak out.

Kids develop at different speeds, just because there is a team with bigger players on it than yours does not mean they cheat or have brought in ringers etc…Some teams/coaches select for size in a tryout.

Get over yourself, and go back and hang with your ilk in the klavern
Many of the hispanic teams at the u11 through u14 are playing kids one or even two levels up to find competition, so that hispanic team that beat your kids team was probably a year younger also!

You think they are younger, but they are in fact just shorter.

Unfortunately, #5 is not legal. OSAA rules forbid it.

Last year, WST had several teams play in both the OPL and the OYSA (qualifying league), then play in both state cups.

Last year I bought a ham and a turkey and had to eat both. This should be a lesson to everyone

#5 is not illegal…Frankly it is common if a freshman is still age appropriate to play u-14. It requires two willing coaches, but the idea that OSAA rules forbid it is silly. Until you get to a varsity team OSAA really doesn't even concern itself with halts played in a week.

You might go back and read the rule book...

Maybe they just have less baby fat than all your little pasty children...
