So much hate now on this blog! A lot of people are just saying their own club is most likely to get in! You guys have too much pride! I guess we'll have to see in the next few weeks. I can't wait to see what clubs get in so people can shut up about all their crap! Especially TA folks! Let's be honest, the three opl clubs have the best chance of getting in!

If you look at the criteria objectively it doesn't appear that any PDX-Metro club meets the minimum standards fully. Thus, if any club gets the nod it will be because the ECNL wants or needs more clubs and they're willing to bend the standards to make it happen. It appears that up until now the ECNL hasn't been willing to do so.
So it comes down to which clubs come close. Clearly there are some who are far off the standards (FCSC as an example). But it's a crap shoot on the others.
Personally I'd be surprised if any get in and if they do it's because the ECNL wants to even up the number of teams in the PNW division not because we have such outstanding clubs in PDX.

as well as (#2 and especially #3 below):
1.Club’s Player Development Guidelines.
2.Club’s History of Youth Player Development.
3.Club’s History of Success in Elite Competitions, Tournaments and Leagues.
4.Club’s Philosophy.
5.Club’s Technical Staff (including quality of Coaching Staff).
6.Overall Club Infrastructure
... honestly, compare the PDX clubs to Crossfire Premier, WPFC, DeAnza, Mustang, Rage etc.

Why don't you fill in the Application for THUSC and post it here for all to see?
You'll quickly prove to yourself that they don't qualify

You don't. That much is clear. You should look into the success THUSC has had outside Oregon. See if you can find anyone else who is even close.

I guess the problem is that not everyone knows for fact that posters like you are only speculating and posting wishful thoughts. I guess this is what to expect on an anonymous forum. It provides people like you the opportunity to pretend to know.

So that leaves us with our opinion and speculation.
However, the criteria has at least been presented and you choose not to defend why you feel THUSC is a sure thing this year. Except to say they are better than "x". The point is being better than "x" is not enough. Please fill in the application and present THUSCs argument per ECNL requirements. Just saying they have won this and won that is not proof. Obviously the ECNL has looked at this in the past couple of years and determined "no".
