Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThere was nothing unethical. They had been talking for a long time about bringing that team over. They didn't get a special deal or anything, they are still paying the same amount as the other Tier 2 teams. In the end if they didn't come over the club would have an A and B team in tier 2, and now they have two A teams and a B team in tier 2. For the kids in the club its a positive that there is a bigger group of talented players to train and play against on a regular basis. So the only ones that seem to really care about this are those who are disgruntled and want to find some reason to be upset with the club.

Its amazing so many people are making such a big deal about a team moving over. Pacific signed off on it (they had to for the coaches to continue to coach). They came over so they could play in the RCL in washington which they couldn't have done in pacific.
In the end they made a choice which will benefit their kids. It has zero impact on anyone on this board, unless you actually play on one of these teams. yet there are people that are trying to make this seem like some huge ethical issue.
Its better for the pacific players, now that they can play at a higher level. Its better for the previous red players, since they can practice and compete with the pacific players on a regular basis. And now when the entire age group moves to 11 a side next year (pacific is already playing 11 a side in washington this year) it gives an entire year to get a feel for what movement needs to happen at next years tryouts.

Because the WSYSA doesn't recognize Pacific as a club. Hence, it's NOT a club.

I'm not sure why anyone cares. Everybody chooses what they think is best for their kid. No one can define what is best for anyone else's kids. All of this posturing and name calling is ridiculous. None of these girls will play in the World Cup. Let the girls be happy. Support each other. It's not hard.
