Fc has never been close to bankrupt???? Who lied to you? Fc has top coaches??? Since when? Fc s coaches are a joke not including the child molesters they employeed. You should probably ask why many FCP recruits tend to leave once they figure out the smoke and mirrors game. If you want better coaches go to thusc for girls. You want a better program...take your pic because considering the last time fc tried to do a girls academy...you will be among the first to watch and be part of a club falling apart trying to fund and recruit for it.

FCP has one loan to help pay for their portion of the turf fields at Liberty. The loan is with a trust run by one of their board members - the Merlo Trust. And the loan balance is very small now. So not troubles there.

FCP coaches are, in general, head and shoulders above most other clubs in the Portland area. Just look at their experience, both playing and coaching, and compare that to what you don't have at Pacific. Sure, they bring on college grads to learn how to coach but they are always mentored by an experienced age group coordinator. Isn't that what DoCs are supposed to do, find and teach new coaches? Or maybe they should just let a Pacific volunteer dad coach instead?

It seems the kool aid is particularly potent up there in Vantucky land. Drink up while you still can. I'm sure your DD will be out of the game in a year or two.

How many is "many"? In my DD's age group (older than yours), I've seen 1 girl leave for a different club. And that was because she was promised a spot on their "A" team, even though she only gets to play about 15 minutes per game...

I posted it. I wasn't cheer leading for FCP, but they are a solid club, simply letting others know where I was coming from. My vantage point. I wasn't intending on bashing 11 yr. old girls either. My point was that decisions about one's own kid need to be made sooner, rather then later. There isn't really a 'later'.

We have been there for four years and four girls have left in our age group, with others joining in.. it ebbs and flows like any club. One left and is no longer playing soccer. One went to B.S.C., but she attends O.E.S with multiple siblings. It made sense for them. The other two went to thusc for a year, and now have come back.

Funding for ECNL isn't really an issue. You clearly do not know how ECNL is run. We could argue about who has better coaching, but it would be a circular argument, that is mostly arbitrary anyways.

Realize this thread has turned into some Clark County battle royale, but throwing around garbage like the above hurts the game, whether in Clark County or somewhere else.

We have no delusions about PFC being more than just a rec/select club feeding the bigger ones. It is merely the opinions on when that needs to happen that we may differ on.

I've lost track of which team is getting trashed, but if you are referring to Revolution 03, go back and read this thread - I've have stuck up for that team more than once when folks were coming down unfairly in my opinion. You are right in that too much garbage is thrown at individual teams here including the Revolution.

However, calling out another club as a harborer of sex offenders, when they appear to be taking the preventative steps other orgs are, didn't appear to know about it and other orgs also missed is unfair; doesn't help the sport or the Revolution.
