The team offered an attractive combination of good and friendly coaching, low costs, and extra training. The big clubs would fail here because they charge far more and then parents expectations grow.

If they stay together in two years, then the problem will be that they have to start out in a low RCL division.
Lots of "ifs" in there, of course. Good luck, Pacific!

At the time the parents did not know that this would be a very good team. I think it was a perfect set of circumstances, but in the end cannot be sustained. This team added 0 new bodies this spring. Tryout numbers are lower and people just don't want to play for a small club at older ages.

Revolution has a great thing going and others are just jealous. Stay the course as long as you can. Save money for the high school years when the best Revolution players might/will be on top travel teams which adds up to lots of $$ quickly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! My kids are older & we live too far away but we live in a small market so have a smaller club. Our top players go to just as good colleges as top big Pdx clubs (even though we regularly lost to their teams). Revolution way ahead of the game already since they are already besting the big club teams.

"Membership: WA Timbers will be addressed with a change in status from a voting member to a non-voting member and a remote Association so that their best teams may be entered into the league at the lowest divisions on an individual basis at U13 and older. Current team commitments do not meet the threshold for voting membership."

My older daughter played against the Pacific girls (their older teams) and we consistently out played them or beat them. Maybe the better girls leave the club at U 13 or U 14 and come across the river to FC PDX or Thusc or WashT?? I don't know but the club isn't nearly as strong or competitive for the older ages.
Yes--they have an ALL WORLD type team at U-11 and can beat teams by 20 goals and walk on water and everything is lollipops, unicorns and rainbows right now but again, just wait 1-2 yrs and we will see where this team is or if they have disbanded or the more talented girls have moved on to a bigger/better club for more training or better training.
It remains to be seen....

No G96 "A" team
No G97 "A" team
G98 "A" team has never been competitive (or even played) in a top division
G99 "A" team has 11 players and may be about to implode completely as even more girls leave for Portland clubs
No G00 "A" team
G01 "A" team lost whole starting lineup over the last two years and is marginally competitive with the bottom half of a watered down OYSA league.
G02 "A" team lost several top players and is now a bottom dweller in a watered down OYSA league
So why exactly would you want to move a good team to this club?
