How does players leaving for ECNL and Thorns Academy make Studley an idiot? Seems to me he was a victim of the timing of greener pastures coming to town more than anything.

97 team would have fallen apart with or without ecnl/academy. players were not happy with his lack of commitment, lack of communication, lack of interest in the team at all. actually surprised they made it through last season with only a couple of top players leaving.

I know he does some training sessions but he doesn't have a team to coach.

So if I understand Pickett is a good coach but, does not coach teams anymore and the other coaches still but, placed his DD on Nemesis with TE. Does not appear that there is any coach in Clark County that develops players between the 3 clubs?

So if these are the only 2 coaches not considered to be idiots and actually develop kids it is no wonder many players head to Portland. One could conclude that that those parents heading to Portland, finding a club with a written curriculum, with coaches that follow the clubs curriculum
may have a better chance to develop their child regardless of being on A or B or C team. That might explain why some choose to go over the river.

Sunny is a great coach and just because he doesn't take amazing cruise control teams like other docs doesn't mean he isn't good. But I'm sure any parent will find any reason to cut down anyone including Tina, Gary. It's amazing the level of integrity on here.

Agree, but this group of coaches and parents are not like other parent groups either.
