It would have left 1 more spot for an Oregon team....well, probably would have ended up being another THUSC team and that isn't good for anyone either.
I believe you are talking the BU11 Reds? They finished #2 in State Cup which earned them a Washington spot

GU13 Reds have been told they are in NWCL and they certainly haven't done anything to deserve it...

Well I think they are talking about the GU11 reds, since this is an 03 thread.

The top team for Timbers is TS team anyway.

Really? What if SW WA combined their girls teams at U11? Would anyone be able to crack the Revolution roster? Take away all bias and pretend you get honest evaluators that don't have kids on the team or any stake in the game.

If the revolution have done pretty good this year against the premier level competition, can they be the best by adding a half dozen kids? My question is, has anyone seen any playsers in Vantucky for this age that is better than girls on that team and if so, where are they?

The bottom third of any roster can always be replaced with better. Look at Nemesis 00's. Won a ton of trophies last year and then replaced a third of their team this spring. The Revolution team is no different. There are 5 or 6 girls at WashT that could easily take spots from girls on the Revs roster.

Yes the bottom third could always be changed out...not necessarily upgraded. I have watched both the WT and PFC teams play and I thought there was 2-3 players on WT that would improve the Rev while another 1-2 on the PFC B team. I haven't seen anything from FCSC. Do they even have a team at this age group?

If the parents of these Vantucky kids were smart, they need to move the decent ones to FCP. But....since I know they are not that smart, why the heck don't the parents on WT_FC have their top 6 try out at PFC? The Revolution is the best team in the area at that age, can't you just put your pride away and see if your kid is good enough to make it? Isn't that the best thing for your kid? (Playing on a top flight team in NPL, NWCL, and the 4 best tournaments in OR/WA) Since it looks like that team isn't moving to WT, as a parent why wouldn't I want my kid to go play with PFC and the other best kids in the area against the best competition around? Seems simple...unless you truly believe that after this year there will be a mass exodus of PFC players to other clubs. I don't believe that after reading this forum.

You bring up good points and on the surface it appears to be a no brainer but, the truth is that in the long run switching to Pacific no matter how good a team is not beneficial. Pacific does not have RCL, Pacific does not have ECNL. It offers a great little team at U11 and perhap U12 but , as girls get older it does not offer potential growth for development or opportunities to be seen. You need stronger coaches to be able to coach and advance players beyond basics. Pacific does not pay their coaches and I don't believe at U14 they do much further advancement. As a previous post indicated many WT players went to Nemesis and bumped players. How did they bumped players unless the club had developed some. Fact is the top WT players are very strong and if they consider moving it would be to Portland. It's to bad the top Rev players don't come tryout for WT. I would think parents who are serious in long run would have fiqured it out that you need he bigger clubs like WT, Crossfire, FC Portland or even THUSC. Revolution is a good team now but, unfortunately they are headed down a dead end. Those real serious players should be looking now. It gets harder and harder to make teams in Portland awe you get older and it's either ECNL or Thorns academy and those in club first usually have better shot. Just how it is. Good luck to your team rest of season.

It will be interesting to see the landscape of competitive soccer in 3 years. Will the ECNL or TA survive in Oregon? Will Crossfire Premier put an RCL club in SW WA. Are there massive changes to the leadership at WT coming? Does Pacific die out? Will FCSC see a resurrection?

So many questions with no answers. Why can't the kids just play where they want and by the time they are U14 there maybe some clarity will appear for this mess we call SW WA soccer? I say enjoy the moment. If the best team is at PFC and I think my daughter is good enough, then let's see if she make/play with the best team. At the end of each season, reassess the situation and make changes if needed. Even if that was 1 year - I would want my daughter playing with and against the best...that is how you get better. Practice cannot simulate the speed and intensity of Crossfire Premier or WPFC breathing down your neck...playing the best every week, every tournament.

Boy was I surprised at the quality I saw. I took a lot photos and video. The parents were something else haha but the kids were QUALITY! It was amazing. I can't believe there weren't more fans out to watch.
                        Sounds like an awesome team.

WT barely has RCL, Division 4 only. Not much of a selling point. Travel to Seattle to play Division 4. Really? And you must start looking now? And stronger coaches? Just a handful of good ones at WT. Sounds like you bought the whole sales pitch over there. U12 girls, move now or that one percent might miss out on her chance to play what?

My kid would have gone pro, but I didn't move her at U12, cost us her whole career. LOL.

Sorry, but it is true. Look at all the threads. We even name teams pre ECNL at U13. Don't make the rules it's just how it is. How many people get jobs based on who they know? Soccer is more political then you think. DD just has a better chance getting in while young. Sometimes it's not about the best. Plenty of players that are not so good playing on big clubs getting opportunities that smaller clubs with better players should get but, they don't. Sad bit true. If your DD is good really consider the move to a bigger club.

... One more thing if your in soccer to just play for fun that's great but , if your not then how mad will you be in the next few years when less talented players from WT are playing higher teams all year long and not just tournaments? You should get it out of your head Timbers are the bad club. The issue that stopped everything was regarding coaching. Timbers wanted coaches rotated in year but, your coaches wanted more. When you play against these teams from Seattle ask the coaches how long they get to coach a team. Most only 2 years maybe 3 max. Kids need to be exposed to different coaching styles to. Your coaches already have been with girls couple years. You would not want your daughter to have the same school teachers for 4 years would you? The Timbers would love to pick up those to Rev girls and combine them. You may start RCL 4 but, if they are winning team you move up quick. I don't make the rules this is just how game is.
