Teams like this with coaches like this actually ruin development of young players. You will find that one out when your DD tries for another team few years and can't do much but pass ball up. Coaches think they are developing players but they are really only developing a team.

There are no top level Oregon tournaments.
Enter a tournament where you have to actually play the best. Either you get your butts kicked (most likely scenario) and the misguided parents learn some humility, or you do well (unlikely) and the misguided parents have something besides hot air to back up their touts.

One of the biggest complaints I have against those touting this team on this board is that it seemed like the coaches went out of their way to AVOID playing anybody good (does the Kick in the Grass) ring any bells? And then this board would be filled with tales of how dominant this team was because they ran up the score on rec teams.

The players will start to leave (nobody good every goes TO Pacific FC from somewhere else). U12 will be their last hurrah and then they will be done.

Just to let you know - possession isn't just passing the ball, the most important type of possession is when your DD is able to keep the ball to herself. Right now at U10 1v1's are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important than having your DD pass the ball every time. You DD should be taught when to dribble and when to pass - both are possession.
If your DD is not being taught this then you will find them far behind in 12 months.

it's not a super elite tournament like Mustang but pretty close. My DD's team got out of bracket at U11 and U12.
Good luck...let us know if you've put that on your schedule....
maybe exchange it for the Tigard Balloon Festival Tournament?
