for how much ?? what was the total cost including the kit (you probably had to buy), not including any travel expenses for training. Just tuition and kit.

There is not a chance that the best players were taken on the boys side for id2. Sorry that's complete bs. The best players are doing ODP / pre academy. Id2 players are taken when club coaches push it. If they don't push, they don't get picked up. ODP has more open market try out. Is it perfect? No. But better on the boys side. Girls impossible to say as talent is spread all over the place between id2 ODP and ECNL.

Club coaches may push their favorites but ultimately it was the national scout who selected the boys/ girls last year at the PDP event, AND sorry, but all 4 boys who made it to the id2 camp made the regional championship roster this year.

Like I thought. Where else are you going to get that kinda of training with all that competition for that price ?

With an older, playing a 37 week club season, training just 2x per week = 74 training days. $1200 (club dues minus league/player fees) / 74 = approx. $16 per session.

I guess I do. Im curious, as Ive asked before if the ID2 program has identified any players that previously had not been before.

I don't think it has. It is a neat opportunity for some additional training, but as an identification tool it hasn't been all that it is billed to be. I don't think the flaw is with Id2, I think the flaw is how it has been implemented. Coaches tend to nominate known entities from within their club. Most of the time these kids are already plugged into ODP or other programs.

Yes. A few years ago 2 relatively "UNKNOWN" players went to Id2 camp. In fact it was a big surprise to many.

Im sure there are going to be those instances where the costs (even the first round) of ODP are beyond the means of some. Though given the FREE opportunity they utilize it.

So still no announcment of who is all attending. So I believe we are going to see up to 6 local girls get the nod, probably a political one since they want to show they are better the OYSA/ODP. I am thinking 3 from FC, 1 from LO and 2 from other clubs.
