    Simple

    They will play.

Just no longer as a TA team/club.

    GW Rules. :)

They lose their MLS patch and the high honor of having the Timbers name. But they would save on mileage and expenses.

The big problem is that OPL is ran by club DOC's who cannot really get a full grip of their own clubs. Look at LO. They have to go round and merge with every other club, even ones out of state. THUSC has had the same guy in charge for years and they are useless. FC do not have any credibility left after all that went on with coaches. These 3 are the main players in OPL. (and they hate TA from THUSC)
FC and LO at least have DOC's that have some ethics but no leadership skills. That's why OPL will fail. The surge will come in the Fall.[/QUOTE]

The OPL is run by: The most established club in Oregon FC Portland. They have been here the longest and doing well for a long time. LO / CrossFire does have a ton of club merging with them for support of those smaller clubs. I don't see a lot of clubs seeking out support from the TA. Crossfire, LO, Southside are incredibly stable. THUSC boys are terrible but their girls are great.

Lets looks at the TA clubs. WST are good on the boys side. EST Timbers are a wreck hopefully new leadership will right the ship. Washington Timbers DOC, oh boy. Rouge Valley, Bend Timbers, Eugene, Salem talk about poor quality.

Yes the most establish club at hiring coaches that have a problem controlling their penis. Is that what you mean?

As for your assessment of the quality of the other clubs: I suggest that their track record on the boys side far exceeds anything you have accomplished in the past 10 years.

Look out for the Capital Timbers for they have two very good boys teams who pull players from the OR Crossfire boundary.

If FC plans to maintain their boys program they will have to take a different approach to participating in out of state tournaments. If not the parents will be asking just exactly what they are getting for the checks they are writing in comparison to the boys teams in the OYSA

Yep nor has OYSA. It gives us more time for a smack down on this forum before the reality is revealed.

Actually you can go on OYSA's website and see all the teams that have applied and been accepted for their winter league.

I don't think it tells you leagues which would be nice to know. I did not see the exact teams but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

I wonder if they are updating some stuff. Last week I was able to look at each age group and see every team who was accepted. However no teams are up right now, so my guess is they are updating at this moment. I will check later and if it is working i'll post the link.

So after the 3 OSSA vs. THUSC game are you going to just flip a coin and phone in the results for the fourth game?

Better hope they don't put a toll booth up on 217!

I hear the Bend parents have offered to watch the kiddies while we are partying it up.

MY DD's coach at Pacific said that the entire club was going OYSA and I'm pretty sure my other DD's team at FCSC is going OYSA. FCSC and Pacific are all going OYSA. I really don't care about the argument that people are making and I'm happy with where my two clubs are going
Apparently not. Pacific and FCSC high school teams are signed up for OPL this winter.

And people are bashing being part of a Timbers alliance.

                                U16G-5 teams U18G-2 teams

                                U16G-6 teams U18G-4 teams

It appears that the bulk of all teams come from these three clubs on the girl's side and from FCP and Crossfire on the boys side. If FCP does leave in the spring it will be a huge hit. On a positive note, we won't travel much.

From this parent's perspective, it would be much better to combine into OYSA and have more teams. I am guessing that THUSC could drop their boys program and play their girls in the FWRL if FCP moves. I am also guessing that if FCP moves their is a high likelihood that Crossfire Oregon will as well.
