who is NW United? They looked horrible today! that team doesn't even play soccer. Where are they from? I watched them play some other team from Vancouver (FCSC). It was the worst soccer I have ever seen. Both teams were a nightmare! I think I saw 10 completed passes

really? Anyone that has been around has seen clubs like FCSC.....always strong at young ages and peeter out by U14/u15.....it's how they are being taught the game, it's not the players. Example - by the time FCSC '98's got to U15 the rest of the teams that have been working on the right things pass the FCSC's that were athletic early on....now you have to think and play the game.

So, any perceived "upsets" today? How about the Iridium game? ECNL may not be all that it's cracked up to be. Washington Premier ECNL? Third, fourth, ??? best team in Oregon?

Iridium has added some nice talent and recently won the NorCal College Showcase.

So, what does that say about Seattle ECNL?

From which clubs did the new talent come?

The same club that Washington Premier added their "new talent" from.

The ECNL teams are unlikely to have their normal traveling team. Win or loss in NWCL doesn't hurt or help these teams.

Way to lay down a nice excuse if they dont clobber the oregon teams.

Let me guess, your the parent of the one of the Oregon kids that treks to seattle each week. Just cause their team name has the moniker ECNL in it, doesnt make em all that and a bag of chips.

I can guarantee it the players are playing to win and the real parents of those players paid the same amount to travel for these games as we will be heading back North next month. If they didnt, they might have just been beaten by a better team or didnt come prepared to win. (i.e. Nick Saban and the Alabama Football team).

Agreed that they should win and in almost every age group did! Either way, they are not bringing their normal traveling teams. Look at their numbers and cross to the roster and you will see what I am talking about.

Looks like the u18 ECNL team couldn't hang with thusc. Down by 2 early and losing 3-2.

They should replace the ECNL team they beat. That thusc team is unbeatable!

I have to hop on here and say something and I'm sure just like our Washington blog I will get bashed for my comments.....to help straighten everyone's thoughts-THUSC is a good team and our team that we played with this weekend was not our top players and in fact we used 7 playups with one being U16 actually......no real excuse but I thought the young ones did very well as they played majority of the minutes. It looked as though THUSC may have had a plyup also. See you all in round two
