For the 97 ecnl teams wp and crossfire were each missing 1 starter. other then that both teams had their full travel rosters, including regional and national players. Crossfire ecnl took thusc iridium down 3-1, with the first half being fairly even and the 2nd half definitely belonged to crossfire. the thusc game vs wp ecnl could have gone either way as it was an even match but thusc was able to put a nice goal in the net in the last minutes of the game.

It looked as though THUSC may have had a plyup also. See you all in round two
You are correct. Last year was a similar deal with 5 13 year olds and Sodium actually was beaten by them. Rich simply did not care if the players made this tournament or not. ECNL games are a whole different story.

quit making things up, my DD is on the team, I know the players on our team. WPFC had 7 playups, but it doesn't really matter. THUSC tucked one in in the last minutes of the game. It was pretty even game

Just so we are on the same page here, thusc team had two players who hadn't played a game with them until this weekend, 3 players from u15, numerous injuries and other players attending college ID camp. Didn't seem to slow them down though. And of course it's not your best players, it never is. I read many posts about ECNL teams in tournaments and it's always the same excuse. I might also inform the coach that when he make statements that make him sound like a pompus @$$, it just fuels the fire. My 2 cents.

all I can say is the weak encl teams in Seattle would have been killed by oinkyx. clearly, the apologists for the idiotiumdian are very down to earth because they understand that they beat some 13 year olds. it really gets my goat when these Seattle pompous coaches complain when our18 year olds beat up on the 13 year olds. in the future, I would send oinkyx to beat these weaks Seattle teams and, if necessary, take an iron to the coaches legs after the game if they're going to make excuses for the 13 year olds. At onyx, we don't make excuses . We are that good

                    Funny

Cracks me up, we all know that the ECNL teams are using these games for practice and giving players that are there play time in in some cases tryouts, But who cares, all the ECNL teams in every age have already secured a position in the semi finals that means 2 of the 4 semi final teams in each age will be ECNL teams. As for play ups all the teams are using guest players and play ups local club teams and ECNL teams. The ECNL teams could care less about this event. Just chalk this whole thing up to a good weekend if soccer and getting ready for league play and showcases. Everyone is really putting and looking way to much in to this event. Lol

You can't say that to a thusc parent!

Congrats to THUSC. It would be interesting to see them play the real ECNL teams but it is probably not to be since they are not in the ECNL and these teams are only staffed with the starters for ECNL games.

I can't help but think that the OPL league is going to be a little boring (as will the OYSA) as the other talented OPL teams didn't fare very well even with the predominance of very young players.

So they played their playups more than they did their discovery players. So funny.

Discovery players were busy doing other things.
