OYSA Winter League

from what's posted on the accepted list at OYSA.

The top u17's will move up to u18.
The top u16's will move up to u17
The top u15's will move up to u16.

The leagues for both the the OYSA and OPL will not be 'true' age and gender make up.

No chance.

Everyone knew both leagues would be hit hard by all this division of top teams.

Nobody ever thought the OPL would be hit this hard this quick.

Agreed. There will have to be mixed age groups to make it work.

Looking at the girls numbers they should be able to have three divisions at U15, two divisions at U16, and three divisions of combined u17/u18. Looks alright to me. What numbers did the OPL get?

Considering they ended their registration on Dec 6th, I'm surprised we haven't heard anything at all yet.

Wow, I am surprised at how little parents apparently know about how clubs are run and what keeps them afloat. It is all numbers and has zero to do with quality. Without numbers you can't exist. In theory without quality you won't get numbers. My guess is that OPL is done.

Completely agree with you about clubs - #'s! However, a league needs quality opponents from top to bottom. OYSA will have the quality on te boys, but OPl will have the quality on the girls

From what I have seen at teh older ages the talent is split almost 50/50 at most age groups... At the younger age groups though its heavy in favor of more and deeper talent in OYSA considering 75% of the teams are heading that way.
