Your head is in the sand or up your ***. Pay to play soccer is a plague upon the United States. Its a MONEY game and the fact that you think kids with physical gifts can force their way into the "system" that is US youth soccer shows how totally blind, ignorant or both you are of how things work for kids from poor households.

Do you have any idea how the development program works in those countries you see represented in the MLS? It AIN'T pay to play but professionally anchored clubs who scout the streets and youth pitches looking for TOP talent and finance the development and play of those identified. Lesser talented or physically developed kids are sentenced to playing futbol in the streets as there are few grass or turf pitches to develop their skills or even enjoy the game.

Right on. We need the smaller independent clubs to offer premier teams. Since most administrative positions are volunteer could keep cost down to focus on hiring some quality coaches. Any smaller clubs interested? There is a need as you. An see from this forum.

I would say 1 good team either. They have 2 good teams in their club (00,99) and one decent team in their 02. However, at that age group ***C is much better and after the top 2-3 teams at that age group you could pretty much take the next 10 teams and they are all fairly even, which is where FCSC falls into.

Outside of those 3 teams though they have nobody, and if im not mistaken they don't even have a girls u10 groups because pacific played them.

Did you forget about the Nemesis G98's? They have owned the Timbers 98 Reds since about U-10 and have been in the top 4 of the OPL premier league each year since 2010.

Sorry buddy not buying your typical response back to the reality that kids are priced out of premier. Truth is middle class families get priced out of premier. Explain to me if your theory is correct why we don't see as many minority teams at older ages then younger ones? To those smaller clubs donT get swallowed up and think of expanding to offer premier teams. Many these clubs have volunteers so cost would be less and could go to hiring qualified coaching staff.

Wish fcsc would combine with pacific and start a premier side. Younger players would have an option other then the monopoly that ***c has. The club cost a lot which is ok if you can get good coach but not to many. Be nice not to have to go over bridge. Know pacific was formed to be for select players but the soccer community is changing and be nice to have a option for kids to play premier level but not have to pay thousands to do it. Perhaps they could come up with coaches get paid like high school. It might be a little more but I am sure it be less timbers after fees uniform club fees paying the coaches expenses etc. seems soccer at premier level only for rich kids and not most talented. The scholarships for timbers only proverty levels. Still leaves a lot of middle class kids out. Any pacific board members hope you read and consider.

Sorry to break it to you but I went to a TA club Premier team and only real difference is cost more . I know plenty of kids who play select that are as good as the premier players but cause their parents can't afford the couple thousand they don't get a chance. Mean while I have learned paying more and going to a bigger club does not always mean better and it's about the team coach more then the club . I like to see the money go directly to coaches. I also like to see some of these kids from middle class families get the same chances as other kids.

it doesn't really matter....you are talking about an extremely weak age group in SW WA.
Nemesis have had some success at early ages but his team has been on the decline since U13.....plan on seeing the '98's finish at or below where there '99's finished this fall....
FCSC does a great job of recruiting the top athletes at early ages (at least they used to) and they are successful.....at U14 they begin to slip because at that age physical dominance and athletic ability isn't the only thing that wins games....the teams that know how to play begin to win. It's a common theme and one that you might not see from FCSC any more as they are starting to not get all of the best athletes.
FCSC will fall apart once granddaughter moves on...it is the only reason why they are there.
