Well the OPL will have the A, B and C teams from OSSA and FC Portland all playing each other. That should be fun.

Yeah right, the top two teams in our age group(State cup finalists) were both TA teams and 5 of the top 8 teams are going OYSA. The B teams that were in our bracket finished dead last.

where do you come up with this? Which 5 of the top 8 are going to OYSA and have they given the word thats what they are doing? If so direct me to a link please. Your not going off of the OYSA web page that shows teams "support" because that does not mean they are going to the OYSA.

2013 State Cup Breakdown U11-U18 boys and girls

There were 8 State Cup Champions from teams the seem to be supporting OPL(2boys, 6 girls)
There were 8 State Cup Champions from teams that seem to be heading to OYSA (6 boys, 2 girls)
There were 8 Finalists from the OPL teams (4 Boys, 4 Girls)
There were 6 Finalists from OYSA teams (4 boys, 2 girls)
There were 2 finalists from clubs currently on the fence. ( 1 boy, 1 girl)

Seems pretty clear your DD should be playing for an OPL team and your BB should be playing for an OYSA/TA team.

Seems pretty clear that there are a lot of changes that are going to happen that are not apparent yet.

I wouldn't make any decisions until the clubs all explain what they intend to do to keep all the best players/teams competing with each other.

If the clubs aren't thinking about this now, they are letting everyone down.

I'm pretty sure every club has the option to come over to OYSA. Most of the clubs that are now coming on board are non TA clubs- CFC, WAFC, NEU, PCU etc.. I think the Nike/Adidas thing may be an issue.

The reason has been stated over and over again. GW wants more money from youth soccer. He was very clear to the OPC. GW wants to control youth soccer and limit what clubs are able to do.

Maybe if the opl weren't complete idiots and knew how to run things, Oregon soccer would be a bit better than the failure opl has done.

It should also be said that the opl or certain member clubs are flat out liars or at least say they are going to do one thing then turn around and do something completely different .

By all means stick with a failing FCP, Island thusc, or a dead end ossa.

The funny thing about it is, they all compete and bicker with each other.

It's like hanging out with house republicans.

You have no idea what you're talking about. TA clubs, namely WST were founding members of the OPC. Now they turn around a couple years later to return to OYSA when it suits them.

Who is lying about what? The only lies are coming from the TA.

Just look at the TA clubs if you want to talk competing and bickering. Look at how they are recruiting players from each other. Now THAT is cooperation! We will see how long this TA lasts.

What have Thusc, FC Pdx, & OSSA told their members they are going to do? Bridlemile issued that statement saying they would determine which league on a team by team basis. I applaud them for being up front about their plans. What have other clubs said?

UM , you do know that most of the founders of the OPL came from the TA clubs right? So who are the idiots?

I didn't applaud Bridlemile for the specifics of what they plan to do but for their communication of their plans. Let's face it, all the clubs will do what's best for them, their members, their egos, etc.
