    Tualatin beats W. Salem 2-1
Is it Lincoln at Jesuit or Jesuit at Lincoln? Does the two at home rule apply anymore?

Looking at the remaining 8 teams, it's obvious which conferences are the best. I thought some conferences would have a better showing.

I don't think that you can draw a conclusion about the entire conference from the remaining 8 teams. Certainly you can say the top teams from those conferences are better, but not the entire conference.

              Good analysis. Let me add;
Westview @ West Salem [W.Salem 2-0] I believe it will be more like 4-0. W.Salem has scored more goals that any team in the state with 86. Over 3 times more than Westview. This fact alone means they can score (obviously). W.Salem has also allowed fewer goals, which was the lowest in their league by about half. They are playing at home and will just outclass Westview.
Grant @ Sunset [Grant 2-1] I view Sunset as very workmanlike (if that is a word). They score a goal or two and then defend like heck. They gave up the second fewest goals in the state which means their defense is pretty darn good. Grant's 43 goals was tops in SD2 but only 2nd or 3rd in most leagues. I give this one to Sunset by a slim 1-0 margin because of defense and they are playing at Sunset.
Sheldon @ Tualatin [Tualatin 2-0] This might be the best match up of the night. Tualatin has scored more but I would say their opponents are not anywhere near those that Sheldon faces. Tualatin takes home field but I see this one possibly going to PK's with the advantage going to visiting Sheldon 1-0.
Jesuit @ Lincoln [0-0 Unable to crack Jesuit's great defense, Lincoln advances on pk's ] Lincoln is another from the very tough SD2 league. Don't get me wrong, Metro has always had the label as being the toughest, but in 2013, I might lean towards SD2. I agree, this one could go down to the wire and PK's. In my opinion, a great defensive front line can be a detriment in a PK situation because the keeper hasn't had to work as hard as other keepers. I feel it will be the case here and am going with Lincoln as well. Great game no matter who wins.

                Here's my picks:

                Westview @ West Salem [W.Salem 1-0]
                Grant @ Sunset [Sunset 1-0]
                Sheldon @ Tualatin [Tualatin 1-0]
                Jesuit @ Lincoln [Jesuit 1-0]

I'm going with all 1-0 games. I'm not sure why people keep picking against Jesuit. They have allowed 0 goals all year! That's crazy!

That is very true. But think about it this way; I'm a keeper, I haven't really been challenged all year, I'm now put in a position where we are down to PK's, who will fare the best? The keeper who has been challenged all season and is sharp, or the keeper who hasn't and might not have the edge? But again, that's why they play the games.
I don't believe the original poster was taking anything away from Jesuits stellar defense or the fact they haven't allowed a goal all season.

Great keepers are part of the reason Jesuit hasn't allowed any goals.

Yeah! I still think the poster was still trying to knock Jesuit. Lincoln has allowed 19 goals this year against some bottom tier teams. Jesuit has scored 46 goals. I don't believe this game goes to PK's.

Original poster here, and you are incorrect, I was not trying to knock Jesuit. They are a great team with a very strong defense. Think about it, how many saves has Jesuits keeper had to make this year compared to other keepers from Metro or any other league? It's not a knock, it's a testament of great defense. But, in that same breath, if she hasn't seen any real action, other than in practice, could that mean she might not be as sharp? Maybe, maybe not. We'll sure see on Saturday won't we?

Its OK to make predictions as long you pick Jesuit to win. Maybe you are new and didn't know that. We'll let it slide this time. Next time be a little more careful. Maybe you could revise your pick and take Jesuit by 6 goals. That would show contrition. They like contrition at Jesuit.

Oh. Oops, my bad. I'll try to remember that...... :)

                              PK's are brutal

At this level most of the keepers have been playing all year so I wouldn't expect any to be not ready. That being said PK's suck for everybody and it's a brutal way to determine the winner, but them's the rules!

Jesuit keepers will be fine. They are half the reason the ball hasn't found the back of the net for their opponents. It sounds like the Lincoln supporters are hoping for pks instead of going for a straight out win.
