    Come on People

There is no politics in the Timbers DA

GW has hand picked AS and MS to lead this program. They work for the Timbers (like GW) and there is no need for them to pick one teams players or clubs players over another.

I know GW and the whole crew personnaly and they are far beyound picking players because they played for certain clubs. That is like saying GW selects players for MLS because they have a certain agent, played for a certain latin club, a certain local club, or college and we all know that isn't happening.

      We know it's not true

Caleb Porter picked all of the new arrivals for the timbers in 2013.

Basically CP told GW who he wanted and like a good little boy GW did as he said.

GW doesn't like being anybody's bi+ch...so he has an army of staff that are his..bi+ches.

      Turnabout is fairplay.

Thank you. That helped. I have a problem tolerating ignorance, and I need to work on handling it better. You were big help.

What? The Timbers are late with the tryout results! Shocking.

Your tolerance of ignorance is probably similar to many of our tolerances of Arrogance.

Not looking forward to a year with AS. MS was bad enough.

Why even bother with another year if it is that bad for you? Go play someplace else. Most players, in any sport, aren't cut out for the professional level. No shame in that, just find the level you are comfortable at and enjoy it.

                      Reverse that

I am cut out for a professional club, AS isn't professional

                        wow

Late coming on this post. For whoever said club soccer only provides options for the D3 player, this is simply not true. On the previous U18 team, 5 to 6 players got into D1 programs... we'll see how much playing time they get; the rest are playing for D3, NAIA or Community College Programs. There are still some 95's on the squad that will be high school seniors this year. Congrats to these kids for their hard work. That being said... there are still opportunities to play D1 and D2 even if you don't make the academy. Don't be discouraged. If you love the game and work hard, opportunities are out there.

                          Good point

You don't need to play in the high level Development Academy to play at the D1 level.

Actually you don't have to play in the lower level club programs either.

You need only play some HS soccer and you too can join your club soccer mates and do as they do--ask to walk-on at a D1 program. If it worked for them it can work for you.

Congrats to the few u18 boys club players from oregon this year who are invited walk-ons at d1 schools.

                            No academy.
                            Yes d1 & d2 options.
                            Yes scholarship.

There is more than one way to reach your goals.

Either you are funny or you're funny. Else you mean to infer that someone has a funny something? What is it that belongs to someone that you think is funny? Their funny what?
